This position is currently open to Chicago-area candidates. Our team works under a hybrid remote/in-person model. We primarily work from home, with many members of our team coming into the office 1-2 days per week to collaborate!

Summary/Objective 

The Marketing Automation Manager will use Marketing Cloud to build, optimize, and report on marketing campaigns in order to grow interest in our brand and nurture leads to conversion. You have an affinity for optimization, going well beyond initial project implementation. This role will involve deep collaboration with your teammates on the Marketing & Creative teams, as well as our internal Technology team and occasionally external vendors. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Build, manage, and report on marketing campaigns and journeys in Marketing Cloud 
  • Own the development and execution of email marketing program, including segmentation, testing, deployment, and optimization 
  • Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and synthesize insights to the team 
  • Plan and perform A/B testing to define and execute enhancements to conversions, campaign ROI, and revenue growth 
  • Assist with the implementation, scheduling, and delivery of landing pages and email templates (exported html files), along with any associated digital assets
  • Work with Web vendor on implementing forms and UTM parameters 
  • Serve as the point person on the Marketing team who works with Engineering, Operations, and agency partners to design and implement the processes and data flows across systems that will help us track leads through to conversion and purchase. 
  • Support essential marketing operations work in Marketing Cloud, including managing the lead lifecycle, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data cleansing 
  • Elevate our entire team by continuing to learn, grow, and innovate within your role 

Upcoming Projects:

  • Reevaluate existing email drip campaigns and journeys to make sure they’re working for us
  • Build new email nurture flow for subscribers that will engage, delight, and eventually convert Leverage the momentum of our new Refer-a-Friend program to create greater engagement and loyalty
  • Continually be on the lookout for ways to leverage Marketing Cloud in order to support and accelerate our strategic initiatives, such as Employee Benefits and our Pet Cloud app

 

Requirements

Required:

  • 3 years minimum in a Marketing Automation, Campaign Operations, or similar role 
  •  Deep proficiency with Marketing Cloud 
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, Google Analytics, and CMS tools 
  • Experience coordinating work with internal tech resources and outside vendors 
  • Ability to assess business need and create technical marketing solutions 

Preferred:

  • Certifications (Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, etc.) preferred 
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred 
  • Experience with A/B testing and digital optimization preferred 
  • Experienced in analyzing and documenting business processes a plus 
  •  Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other relevant university discipline preferred
