Job Description:

BenchPrep is looking for a Marketing Coordinator to join our growing team. Reporting into the Director of Marketing, you will be taking on a multitude of tasks and have the opportunity to own various Social Media, Public Relations, and Event Marketing responsibilities, among others. 

You are someone who doesn’t mind rolling up your sleeves and taking on anything that comes your way, including creating the strategy for and implementing a social media campaign, proofreading a blog post, or packing a box of trade show materials and taking it to FedEx to send out.  You are a positive person that wants to learn and gain a well-rounded marketing experience.  You are a flexible person who is able to roll with the tide and shift priorities as needed in our fast-paced environment.  You enjoy working on a variety of different items and wearing multiple hats.

This role is fast-paced and requires creativity, attention to detail, resourcefulness, juggling multiple projects simultaneously, and scrappiness. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Social Media – You are the owner of social media for the organization by implementing posts, identifying influencers, building list of followers, and engaging the community
  • Writing – Write social media posts, blogs, and other marketing deliverables, and proofread outgoing materials for the team
  • Event Management – Work with the Sales team to manage marketing conference planning and activity.  Includes strategizing for conference giveaways, shipping our display booth, tracking inventory, and communicating with conference managers
  • Public Relations – Lead outreach efforts to drive interest in the organization from media outlets
  • Project Management – Manage day-to-day responsibilities for the marketing team to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner  
  • Assist the Content Marketing Manager with proof points and 3rd party sourcing for articles
  • Track and maintain log of user testimonials to leverage for the website and marketing campaigns
  • Manage conference and content calendars
  • Oversee video production schedule
  • Other duties as signed by the Director of Marketing

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field, or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of prior experience
  • Can-do attitude and an excellent communicator
  • Comfortable with writing
  • Social Media experience (At a minimum you use and are very familiar with Twitter and LinkedIn)
  • Bonus skills: Any graphic design experience
