SMS Assist is looking for a Marketing Manager to join our growing team!

The Marketing Manager will help:

  1. Lead a development and execution of marketing strategies that will drive revenue, growth, and brand equity
  2. Drive the creation of effective content that will help to increase our brand awareness as well as pipeline engagement

Reporting to the VP of Marketing, SMS Assist’s Marketing Manager will be a leader on the team responsible for capturing and portraying the story of SMS Assist to different market segments and companies.

As a function of the marketing team, the Marketing Manager interfaces predominantly with the sales team. By understanding and determining the needs of the sales team, the Marketing Manager develops thoughtful tools, campaigns, training and content including generation of sales pipeline, hyper-targeted marketing strategies, and account based program development and execution. Additionally, as the Account Based Marketing Manager you will design the strategy around the segmentation, messaging and marketing for our existing markets.

 

What is SMS Assist?

We connect businesses (retailers, restaurants, commercial) & residential properties with the best maintenance providers (plumbers, HVAC repairers, floor care, rehab construction, etc.) in their area through our state of the art technology. Without us, retailers cannot open their doors and our maintenance providers would not be able to grow their businesses.

 

Core Responsibilities of the Marketing Manager

  • Work hand-in-hand with content marketing and sales team to create insightful content, and distribute vertical and market specific materials, collateral, tools and programs (i.e. collateral, presentations, talking points, sales sheets, etc.) specifically for sales pipeline generation
  • Responsible for specific marketing channel strategies and translating them into tactical marketing plans to achieve specific acquisition targets via optimal marketing channels
  • Assess the demand and influence the prioritization of all sales programs and tools; analyze and measure the success of these programs using data and metrics
  • Assist the VP of Marketing with the implementation of ABM strategy. Evaluate tools and strategies. Collaborate with Sales to create hyper personalized, multi-channel campaigns including; personalized emails, website content, direct mail, LinkedIn connections and more.
  • Manages the analysis of results from large and complex marketing initiatives, campaigns, and programs; shares findings with management, Marketing team members and other key stakeholders; translates findings into marketing messages that align with audience and line of business objectives
  • Perform competitive research in order to align with industry standards and improve our position to win more customers
  • Perform strategic account research to help with our account based marketing efforts
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive account profiles and target personas; oversee a database to align marketing and sales in defining the target audience required to achieve sales goals

 

Key Competencies of the Marketing Manager

  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills with understanding of inbound and content marketing to generate leads
  • Strong team player and high attention to detail; desire to work in a collaborative environment
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure while continuing to meet established deadlines
  • Experience partnering with teams across departments, manage relationships with various associates and accomplish objectives
  • Ability to coordinate and effectively prioritize multiple tasks
  • Genuine enthusiasm and highly likeable
  • Strong sense of ownership and dedication to high quality work

 

Marketing Manager’s Education and Experience

  • Minimum 5-7 years of B2B demand generation marketing, account based marketing, product marketing, or similar role
  • BA/BS in Business, Marketing, Communications or related discipline
  • Proven track record executing innovative sales enablement projects or hi-tech product marketing
  • Solid experience with large account selling teams and creating integrated marketing campaigns using tactics including live events, webinars, digital advertising, and social networking
  • Experience working in Salesforce and HubSpot with experience in targeting, segmenting, and list acquisition
  • Proven project management skills
