Fetch Rewards is looking for a master social media storyteller and brand-builder who has experience with the concept that “people are brands”. You will work directly with and around the CEO.

Fetch is a build-first technology company creating a rewards program to power the world. Over the last 5 years, we’ve grown from 0 to 17M active users and taken over the rewards game in the US with our free app. The foundation has been laid. In the next 5 years, we will become a global platform that completely transforms how people connect with brands. 

It all comes down to two core beliefs. First, that people deserve to be rewarded when they create value. If a third party directly benefits from an action you take or data you provide, you should be rewarded for it. And not just the “you get to use our product!” cop-out. We’re talkin’ real, explicit value. Fetch points, perhaps. Second, we also believe brands need a better and more direct connection with what matters most to them: their customers. Brands need to understand what people are doing and have a direct line to be able to do something about it. Not just advertise, but ACT. Sounds nice right?

About the Role: 

Fetch is looking for a rockstar to handle the extremely normal job of: social-media/storytelling/personal-brand-building/make-our-CEO-look-AWESOME-Expert. Sounds crazy and fun, right?! 

Let’s break it down…

Our CEO, Wes Schroll, is as charismatic as he is driven. (This is the CMO typing this by the way, Wes would never self-gloat). Wes is the face of the company to our userbase, as well as a thought leader to our clients and the industry. The appetite continues to grow for Wes to make public appearances, film videos for social media, and drive his social following to create impact for our business, as well as our partners. What we need now is someone to help craft an amazing social media content experience for Wes. 

To accomplish that, we’re hiring someone to build the Wes brand through content strategy and perfecting how he “shows up” to each audience. You will need to live in Boston, where you will have access to Wes, as well as all his social accounts. 

Scope of Responsibilities: 

  • Get to know Wes, what makes him tick, his story. Learn what makes him unique. What is authentic to him, and what feels forced. You’ll need to intuitively understand what a CEO should and should not say, post and not post, respond to and not respond to. 
  • Actively influence how Wes is perceived by any of his audiences through constant feedback-loops aimed at improving Wes’ presence 
  • Build and execute Wes’ social content strategy
  • Monitor social media channels for Wes mentions, elevate as needed, and respond where appropriate and/or opportunistic. 
  • Handle reporting of aligned-to metrics and use data to identify opportunities for growth and engagement 
  • Collaborate with internal or external teams to build out necessary materials/assets

Skills we believe you’ll need for this position: 

  • Fluency in all social channels. 
  • Proven self-starter – independent thinking will be key
  • Great writer, including social content 
  • Loves creating social content
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in social media marketing
  • Experience with social listening tools 
  • Precise attention to detail
