Virgil Holdings, Inc is seeking a Marketing Manager to own the overall customer acquisition and traffic generation strategy for the company.

About the Role

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for digital, content and paid social media strategy. The Marketing Manager will not just build and launch advertising and media programs, they will own and map out the acquisition strategy. This includes managing growth marketing programs to drive both national and local market penetration. In addition to these activities, this person may help with events and events marketing plans, social media strategy, collateral creation (including video), thought leadership marketing, and more.

We are looking for a candidate who is a growth hacker at heart, who is driven to understand what propels and converts users and traffic. To be successful, this person will bring a deep knowledge of digital media, and a passion for adapting programs based on an evaluation of measurable results. This person will also possess the ability to pivot between B2B and B2C marketing initiatives and between marketing plans for multiple brands (Hcareers, Virgil, and partner marketing programs). Responsibilities for this role include driving user acquisition by:

  • Understanding and defining customer segments
  • Actively managing SEO programs
  • Manage and drive growth through (either directly or through agencies) paid media programs, including search engine marketing, affiliate programs, display and re-targeting and social media advertising programs
  • Working with graphic designers to create, test and launch new ads and collateral
  • Supporting content marketing (including video marketing) efforts
  • Tracking KPIs

REQUIREMENTS 

Required

  • BA/BS degree in business, marketing, communications or relevant field of study
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in Google AdWords, Bing, and affiliate programs
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience with video marketing
  • Hands on experience in Search Console and with other search optimization tools (e.g. Moz, Spyfu, etc.)
  • Experience with social media advertising
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through attribution programs
  • Excellent writer and communicator (in both the written and verbal form)
  • Experience in analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills with the ability to clearly explain complex issues to a range of audiences
  • Passion for “owning a clean slate” and a track record of creating programs from scratch

Preferred

  • Experience managing new digital media marketing programs (e.g. Snapchat, Instagram, etc.)
  • Experience managing events (conferences, trade-shows)
  • Overall demand generation experience, including content marketing and testing platforms
  • Strong Excel knowledge including pivot tables
  • Experience with sales enablement marketing programs (including developing collateral)
  • Knowledge of tag management systems, including GTM

Differentiating

  • B2C and B2B experience
  • Track record of being driven and self-sufficient
  • Experience with grassroots acquisition and guerilla marketing tactics
  • Testing and optimization experience

Compensation is competitive based on experience
