At Graduate Hotels®, we are all students.  We believe in creating experiences that allow our guests – travelers and locals alike – to reminisce in their own memories and rekindle the spirit of their alma mater.  Graduate Hotels are a hand-crafted collection of hotels residing in university-anchored towns across the country.  Launched in 2014 by AJ Capital Partners, there are currently 15 open and operating hotels in the U.S. and an additional 17 under development. 

 

We are looking for a dynamic Marketing Manager to support the development, implementation and execution of the strategic marketing plan(s) for Graduate Hotels to attract customers and retain existing ones. The Marketing Manager will oversee the implementation of brand-level marketing initiatives at the brand and property levels. This position will report directly to our Director of Marketing. The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, collaborative, eager, strategic, organized, detail-oriented, can travel and enjoy working in a fast-pace entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Director of Marketing with the development and implementation of launch plans for opening hotels; manage launch timeline and completion of marketing deliverables
  • Manage processes for cross-functional team to ensure overall success for marketing initiatives; serve as the project manager for marketing and creative functions – keep the team organized and on track for brand and property-level campaigns
  • Oversee branded OS&E creative and development
  • Maintain brand standards for marketing materials and branded promotional items; place orders for these items to support national partnerships, programming, VIP gifting program and additional initiatives
  • Oversee creative process for assets to support local and national marketing initiatives including emails, advertisements and printed materials; provide strategic marketing guidance to the field marketing team as necessary
  • Manage budgets for opening properties and brand marketing
  • Work with Director of Marketing to create and execute on email brand promotional calendar; deployment of brand and property email campaigns
  • Training on systems and operations for marketing team including field
  • Lead brand marketing meetings and serve as task force to ensure team deliverables are met

 

Qualifications:

  • Understands cross team functions and ability to manage processes
  • Experience building multifaceted marketing programs and reporting on the results
  • Exposure to digital and direct response marketing
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong problem-solving ability, including metrics-driven and strategic thinking
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment and consistently demonstrate a high level of organizational skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Marketing, Public Relations or related field
  • Occasional travel necessary
