Department OverviewThe Marketing Operations team is responsible for measurement, lead flow and tracking of marketing strategies and campaign tactics supporting the business and sales objectives for the company. This function is part of the Global Brand Design, Digital and Operations team which supports the wider Motorola Solutions Marketing organization with demand generation activities across creative designs, creating compelling digital experiences, and developing the processes and maintaining the marketing technology stack to provide customers and prospects with an exceptional experience with Motorola Solutions.
Job Description
The Salesforce.com lead & Marketing Enablement Manager is responsible for aligning people, process, and technology to the marketing and sales organizations’ goals. You will be responsible for supporting our Salesforce.com environment, assisting with governance of the global lead management process, arming the field and inside sales organizations with the tools and technologies they need to be successful. The successful candidate will support our lead management and marketing automation process to ensure accurate campaign delivery, follow up, action, tracking and reporting.
You will work closely with a number of stakeholders across Marketing, Sales, Operations, and IT to achieve your goals and the team initiatives.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
Subject Matter Expertise for Salesforce.com Lead Management globally
Investigate and implement new sales/marketing tools and technologies, building out an optimal technology stack for marketing and sales success
Support the regional field marketing team’s use of Motorola’s Marketing Automation Platform, Eloqua, to drive impactful campaign execution
Lead the maintenance and optimization of system processes to ensure flawless multi-channel campaign delivery
Identify opportunities and propose solutions to automate or streamline processes to improve and increase the marketing team’s ability to deliver marketing programs efficiently
Work with Marketing Managers to identify and troubleshoot issues in campaign builds, segmentation logic or system errors
Work closely with stakeholders from the business team to architect technology solutions needed to drive alignment of business needs and lead discussions to arrive at mutually agreeable solution options.
Organize, manage and oversee initiatives on the Salesforce.com and Eloqua platforms.
Partner with stakeholders to plan for detailed testing, deployment and adoption of Salesforce.com/Eloqua and process improvements
Proactively work on identifying and defining roadmaps for Marketing technology integrations.
Build trusted relationships with marketing and IT teams to ensure our commitment towards delivery and service levels. Follow up on issues, concerns from the Marketing/Sales/IT teams
Proactively assist in the management of the Salesforce.com and Eloqua databases for assigned regions driving best practices to ensure clean and accurate databases.
Maintain compliance with regional data privacy laws and ensure that systematic processes are in place in alignment with those standards
Run ad-hoc reports for marketing and sales teams upon request.
The ideal candidate will have the following knowledge/skills:
B.S. in marketing or related field
2 years in sales, marketing, finance, sales/marketing operations, or IT
Knowledge of Salesforce.com & Eloqua or similar CRM/MAP platforms
Eager to dive in, get your “hands dirty” and learn new tools quickly to support various integrations and processes
Keen eye and attention-to-detail
Intermediate to advanced Excel knowledge (ie. pivot tables, vlookups, etc)
Ability to communicate effectively with business stakeholders as well as clearly explain technical requirements to IT and development teams
Experience developing and implementing new processes and technologies, and driving adoption and compliance
Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently between multiple tasks to meet deliverables within the established timeframes
Anticipates needs and requirements of colleagues
Uses data to answer complex business questions
Experience interacting with Sales, IT, Marketing teams and Senior Leadership
Preferred working knowledge of Tableau or other business intelligence tools
Preferred lead management experience
