The Marketing Operations Manager – Marketing Tools role will play a vital part on the AWS Americas Field Marketing team. This person will work closely with the Americas Marketing Leadership team to implement marketing tools that drive scale and optimization across the team.

This person will have direct responsibility for implementation and management of a new Workfront solution for Americas Marketing which will enable full team visibility into our marketing calendar, resource investments and planned activities. In this role, you'll drive the strategy, execution, and management of our Workfront project portfolio management system.

This position will require someone with a deep understanding of Workfront architecture, processes, products, and overall best practices. While you'll be given the overall scope of what we'd like the functionality of Workfront to do for our business purposes, you'll be consulted on the best way to go about this and will be trusted based on your expert recommendations. In the future The Marketing Operations Manager – Marketing Tools will also recommend, select, and implement additional tools that will further enable the Americas Marketing Team.

Responsibilities
· Work collaboratively with team members in the Field Marketing, Partner Marketing, Global Marketing and the Americas Sales org to help set requirements for our use of Workfront based on a variety of aggressive goals
· Act as the primary project owner of the implementation of Workfront and other marketing tools as selected by the Americas Marketing Leadership Team
· Configure, maintain, and manage Workfront workflows, request queues, user accounts, custom fields, dashboards, reports and third party integrations
· Conduct ongoing business analysis and designs, coordinate change management activities and handle escalations of corporate end-user support
· Implement enhancements and roll out new features; design solutions such as data modeling, object modeling, page layout design, and rule logic definition in the context of the Workfront application
· Monitor and work service queues and coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and solve problems at their root, stepping back to understand the broader context
· Assist in data cleansing to ensure successful completion and delivery of reports and dashboards
· Act as a facilitator/trainer to enable team adoption of tools. Support the on-boarding of working groups and participate/develop/deliver training on supported applications and ongoing management of user licenses and granting/modifying/removing access to supported applications
· Work across existing tools such as SalesForce, Marketo and SmartSheet to integrate WorkFront where possible
· Configure Workfront objects (custom forms, project templates, programs, portfolios, reports, dashboards, approval processes, milestones, email notifications, statuses, job roles, teams, groups, scorecards, expense types, risk types, layout templates, filters, views, groupings, etc.)
· Responsible for preparing for, and being knowledgeable in the details of upcoming Workfront product releases, understanding the impact on current work processes, and coordinating on necessary system changes, end user training/communication on upcoming updates, etc. Oversees and coordinates upgrades to existing applications and patch management to ensure minimal disruption to users.
· Triage, troubleshoot and resolve incidents according to standard operating procedures related to Workfront applications
· Monitors system back-ups, ensures back-ups are completed as necessary and performs disaster recovery of system in a timely manner, when necessary.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years’ experience integrating and working with Workfront or comparable intake/portfolio work management tool(s) such as Clarity PPM, Clarizen, Planview
· 2+ years of system, network, and/or application administration
· Experience working in Salesforce

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience working with Marketo
· Experience working with SmartSheet
· Track record of developing and managing multiple programs simultaneously
· Highly organized and detail-oriented
· Experience in improving business and system processes and solving problems for stakeholders, strong QA process
· Experience gathering and interpreting business requirements and working on Workfront projects end-to-end
· Experience with vulnerability risk and impact assessment and remediation
· Ability to demonstrate experience using superb collaboration and communication skills, to be able to translate detailed technical problems in to communicable messages and in dealing effectively with various teams/departments across an organization.
· Excellent project management skills
· Not afraid to try new things – driven to constantly improve results
· Thrives in a fast-paced environment with the ability to pivot and problem-solve.
