Marketing Operations Manager
We are dscout. At our core, we are People Nerds. We empower our customers to meet the people who matter to them in the moments that matter most. Customer-obsessed companies and agencies like Salesforce, Sonos, Groupon, and Best Buy use dscout to build better products and services because of people like you. We are building a smart and driven team, and we would love for you to join us.
We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager to join the team. You will work closely within our 5-person B2B marketing team (and occasionally across our organization) to expand and refine our marketing processes with an emphasis on improving our marketing efficiencies and results over time. You’re an analytical and strategic thinker, with the curiosity to question “the way things are,” the drive to keep surfacing improvements, and the rigor to bring your solutions to life.
You will be the subject matter expert on our approach to marketing operations, with the opportunity to help shape the future of tools and efforts we use to accomplish our marketing goals. You’re more than willing to roll up your sleeves to execute, but will use your marketing strategy and critical thinking skills to guide your work.
What will you do (let's call them "Responsibilities"):
- Serve as a subject matter expert on our marketing operations, including knowledge of tools within the SaaS ecosystem that may add value
- Implement future SaaS tools and platforms into our existing tech stack
- Build and execute integrated marketing campaigns in tandem with other team members
- Assist within, and eventually manage, many of our marketing tools, including our CRM
- Build, maintain and refine workflows that help support marketing goals
- Refine current attribution model and build reports that help stakeholders understand what’s working and which efforts to prioritize
- Help review and troubleshoot issues with current processes—bonus points for critical thinking that helps us address challenges in elegant and efficient ways
- Help facilitate successful team usage of key marketing platforms and processes—scale and democratize knowledge across the team
- Ensure data cleanliness and best practices across key systems
Our ideal hire has:
- Proficiency with marketing and sales CRMs required; 3+ years of Salesforce and HubSpot experience strongly preferred
- Work experience within operations at a SaaS org preferred
- Expertise with marketing campaign reporting and attribution
- Experience integrating software with an account-based marketing tool preferred
- Experience building and refining workflows, lists for recurring processes, and one-off campaigns
- Proficient with Google Sheets and Excel—basic knowledge of SQL and relational database management preferred
- Experience managing data syncs, working with large data sets, and setting up complex integrations
- A critical eye on and track record of problem-solving, improving existing processes, and unlocking new efficiencies within an organization
- History of cross-functional collaboration with teams such as sales, business intelligence and product
- Ability to think and communicate clearly about complex and technical projects and processes
- A track record of developing and maintaining multiple processes over time
Note: As a result of COVID-19, the dscout team has decided to work remotely for the time being. However, we are now interviewing, hiring, and onboarding remotely for all open roles! While our office is temporarily open for teammates who feel comfortable coming in, no current or future employees will be required to come back into our office until (at least) July of 2021.
What will you get?
Here at dscout, we are a team of passionate research, sales, technical, marketing, design, success, and operations professionals. We are driven by the power of research—how in-context insights from real people can build products and services that are more people-centric. We value learning, sharing, and building. We deeply value being a diverse and inclusive team and company, and we are looking for team members who align with that belief. We are proud of what dscout is today and we are excited to build our future with you.
In addition to joining a smart and passionate team, you will get:
- A strong compensation package with bonus structure. Your success is tied to company success. We are all in this together.
- An incredible set of core benefits as well as a 401k with match, solid PTO policy, and generous company holidays. We are committed to supporting our team.
- Exposure to the inner workings of a growing company, including open, transparent communication within our team. You will know what is happening and why it matters.
- An education stipend. We are committed to helping build your future.
- A beautiful workspace along the Chicago Riverwalk, that is temporarily open for teammates who feel comfortable coming in and working from there. Read more about our office space here!
