Wyzant is looking for a high-energy, innovative and well-organized marketing manager to take the lead on our most creative marketing initiatives. This role includes the design and execution of a broad array of programs and promotions to increase brand awareness and new student (customer) acquisition.

Examples of these programs include customer referral, affiliate partnerships, brand ambassadors and online event promotions (e.g., webinars).

In all cases, this person will have the opportunity to research channel opportunities, ideate on the best interpretations for our brand, and deliver innovative programs that best communicate the unique value proposition of Wyzant. 

Specific tasks would likely include: 

  • Creating the framework for the promotion/program, the associated marketing materials (primarily copy), setting goals and measuring results
  • Soliciting and incorporate feedback on proposed programs from key stakeholders
  • Collaborating well with functional and cross-functional teams
  • Writing creative briefs required to in- and out-source design work
  • Keeping up with industry trends and applying best practices to improve our marketing programs

Program success will be judged on performance against quantifiable measures including engagement, lead generation, new customer acquisition and revenue impact. The marketing programs manager should be experienced in setting such goals, forecasting and measuring outcomes, with an orientation toward test-and-learn and continual improvement opportunities. 

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have 4+ years experience in marketing, particularly with an online or e-commerce consumer brand, and have developed successful promotional campaigns and programs in the past. 

Other specific capabilities include: 

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills with a keen focus on responsiveness and follow-through
  • Experience managing a full marketing program, from concept development, stakeholder buy-in, production, launch and analysis
  • Strong time management, organization and interpersonal skills with an ability to set priorities that solve problems, take on multiple tasks, approach objectives in a detail-oriented manner and work well in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment
  • Comfortable working with working independently, with limited resources 
  • Experience and proficiency presenting to groups and working with external partners
  • Team-oriented, with a willingness to pitch in when needed
