Our Marketing team takes our diverse businesses to market - positioning our brands with consumers, translating that to engaging marketing actions, delivering an exceptional experience that connects them to our merchants and in turn drives business growth.

 

As a Marketing Strategy Manager, you will own the marketing strategy behind Living Social, a Groupon brand.  This position requires critical thinking, a bias for action, strong communication, problem solving skills, ability to self-start and comfort with ambiguity.

 

To be successful in the role, you will need strategic experience to enable you to define realistic plans, think creatively, analyze impact, and execute daily. You lead with an audience first mindset, and have firsthand knowledge on how to project manage compelling campaigns that drive consumer action. In addition, you should have outstanding collaboration and relationship building skills.

You Will Spend Time on the Following:

  • Dig into Living Social performance data to determine the strategy for the Brand go forward including:

    • Role of the Living Social Brand

    • Brand Positioning

    • Acquisition strategy

    • Owned and Paid channel plans

  • Partner with the Revenue Management team to react to business trends with levers in real time

  • Own the Creative Brief and work with Design to bring the Marketing messaging to life through engaging creative

  • Build large-scale campaign plans (Holiday, Mother’s Day), aligning all partnering teams to a common goal

  • Drive innovation by testing new, creative Marketing messages

  • Collaborate with Product teams to deliver new Marketing tools and capabilities

 

We’re excited about you if you have:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or similar

  • 6-8 years of experience in management consulting, e-commerce marketing, or merchandising

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • An appreciation for deadlines and are efficient and organized, like a human filing cabinet

  • The ability to thrive in a fluid and dynamic fast-paced environment, and embrace ambiguity

  • A deep understanding of how to interpret and present data and insights clearly while driving action and results

  • A general understanding of creative processes, which would assist you in hosting briefs with the design team

  • Experience running brand, marketing, and advertising initiatives and/or situational assessment, strategy, and tactical plan development
