We are seeking a Launch Associate to work on the Expansion Team that is responsible for launching Farmer’s Fridge operations in new markets. You will take ownership of a new market launch and will be accountable for: sourcing and securing real-estate, hiring and training a local team, and launching our business operations in new markets on time, within budget, and at agreed upon levels of service. You will continue to oversee each new market you launch until it is stabilized and ready for handoff to the Fulfillment team.

This role will be Chicago-based and require up to 75% travel to remote markets.

What You’ll Do:

• Launch New Markets on time, within budget, and at agreed-upon service levels
• Align with the Launch Manager and Fulfillment team on the scope of work, timeline, and budget for a new market
• Source and secure real estate and set up the Fulfillment/Warehouse Operations. This could include: setting up a security system, implementing pest control, securing permits, building out cold space, overseeing construction required to meet Quality & Food Safety requirements or local regulations, and bringing in all supplies for the operations and office space.
• Work cross-functionally to ensure that a new market’s production and line-haul days are aligned with the needs of Sales, Demand Planning, and Manufacturing.
• Secure delivery vehicles and parking. Onboard the vehicles so they adhere to local regulations and have Fleet tracking devices installed.
• Establish Contingency plans for the market
• Hire and train a local team that can support the market operations and any short term growth. Depending on market size and potential, this could be a team of just a few Drivers or a larger team that includes Supervisors and Managers
• Partner with Legal, QFS, and HR to ensure all permits and regulatory documents are secured and that our operation and local team adhere to local building and labor laws.
• Support existing markets as needed, including upgrading infrastructure and building new operational capabilities in existing markets

• Technically proficient with G Suite/Microsoft Office
