Neighborhoods.com is seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Paid Media Specialist to join our team. This position will be responsible for creating, executing, and optimizing paid media advertising for the company’s two brands in order to improve online reach, strengthen engagement and support larger marketing and business objectives. 

Neighborhoods.com is the first online real estate resource to put the neighborhood at the center of the home search. Our platforms, 55places.com and Neighborhoods.com, invite users to imagine their life in a new area by providing a local’s perspective, including detailed descriptions and resident reviews of schools, amenities, and the surrounding community.

What you’ll be doing as our Paid Media Specialist:

  • Working directly with the Paid Media Manager across paid marketing channels including Paid Search (Google and Bing), Paid Social (Facebook), Display, and Video
  • Monitoring performance metrics daily, to identify trends and optimize campaigns
  • Recommending program optimizations; using knowledge of platform-specific capabilities and integrated media opportunities
  • Building Paid Search campaigns from top to bottom, including keyword research, writing ad copy and uploading the campaigns to search engines
  • Optimizing Paid Search campaigns through search query reporting, ad copy testing, creating ad extensions, and conducting marketing research to find changes in the landscape
  • Executing set-up of Paid Social campaigns, including building ads and audiences
  • Compiling ad specifications and deadlines to share with internal and external creative partners
  • Leveraging tracking URLs and building/implementing third-party ad serving tags for various digital placements
  • Using paid social and display performance data to recommend and implement optimizations to improve overall campaign performance
  • Collaborating with branded content teams, our analytics manager, and design/engineering team members in order to align Paid Media and product strategies
  • Staying up-to-date on current paid media trends, best practices, and technologies
  • Ad hoc duties as assigned

Within 3 months, you will:

  • Have a strong understanding of our marketing goals and the role that each media channel plays in reaching those goals. 
  • Be able to comfortably navigate the various ad platforms and be familiar with the account structure of each.
  • Be able to make optimization decisions in the channel in which you have the most experience.
  • Create paid search campaigns for new communities on our websites.

Within one year, you will:

  • Confidently own at least one of the company’s paid advertising channels.
  • Recommend and test new initiatives, with support from the Paid Media Manager.
  • Be self-sufficient in day-to-day tasks.
  • Independently optimize campaigns and recognize trends.

Basic requirements to do the job:

  • 2-3 years of Paid Search, Paid Social, or Display experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • General knowledge of paid media industry trends, standards, and products
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Google Suite
  • Proficiency in Excel

Bonus points if you have:

  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Experience working with Google Analytics and/or Google Data Studio
  • Google Ads, Bing, or Facebook advertising certifications
  • Experience working on a Mac
