Paid Search Manager
ThinkMarkets is a global online brokerage firm, specializing in Foreign Exchange, Cryptocurrency and Commodities trading. Our mission is to disrupt the brokerage industry with our award-winning technology platform, superior data insights, and effective marketing practices.
We are seeking an experienced Paid Search Manager to help us take an agency-led function inhouse and rapidly grow the account across the world. This is a highly visible role within the marketing organization.
This technical individual will be responsible for the daily optimization operations, tracking and prioritization of what is currently being deployed; then taking the platform to the next level, working with data scientists to build an informed and automated search strategy.
To be successful, this individual must have a proven track record of managing PPC for an international brand and/or managing multiple brands simultaneously in an agency-led environment, as well as an intense curiosity for marketing automation. This role is based in our Chicago office and reports to the Head of Performance Marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Successfully develop a campaign structure that optimizes a global approach while maintaining operational efficiency.
- Develop KPI’s and work closely with data science team to build reporting and BI lead decision framework.
- Develop and present weekly performance analysis while proactively addressing trends and recommending next steps.
- Lead conversations with our partners in trading, analytics, and data science to create tools to build and automate the channel at scale.
- Maintain and monitor keyword bids, account bidding & investment strategy, impression share, quality score, and other important metrics.
- Creative/copy writing and developing our continuous learning testing plans.
- Manage all paid-search channels including SERP, YouTube, and Apple search.
- Develop a data-driven approach for informing investment and testing decisions.
- Demonstrate passion for digital marketing by proactively finding and building recommendations on new ways to improve performance
- Understand search best practices, drive process improvements, and find new ways of operating, with a focus on simplification, scale, and efficiency
Skills & Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of the technologies and processes involved in running PPC campaigns (particularly Google analytics and other web analytics packages)
- AdWords Certified in Advanced Search required; Display and Analytics preferred
- A solid understanding of Google analytics and other web analytics packages
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Experienced in tag architecture
- KPI driven and results oriented to drive innovation across media execution
- Experience in hands-on ad operations in agency environment OR in-house digital marketing team for a global brand
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
