Department OverviewThe North America Integrated Marketing and Communications team is responsible for the management, measurement, lead flow and tracking of robust marketing strategies and tactics supporting the business and sales objectives for the company. The IMC team drives all campaigns, demand generation and marketing programs across the key vertical markets Motorola Solutions serves.
Paid search marketing is at the heart of the integrated marketing strategy and a significant driver of web traffic and lead generation for the business. The Paid Search Manager will work directly with the integrated marketing managers to build, optimize and maintain highly converting paid search campaigns for a variety of industries, each with their own goals, objectives and nuances. The Paid Search Manager will drive quantifiable results, provide data-driven media recommendations, and execute plans that truly affect consumer behavior.
The ideal candidate for this role not only has a passion for search engine marketing, but would learn about the broader paid media strategy and tactics (programmatic, retargeting, social, etc.), as this individual would have the opportunity to grow into a broader paid media role in the future.
Primary Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
Manage Google Search, Shopping, Display, Remarketing, and other search marketing campaigns
Define go-to-market PPC strategy and KPIs for all lines of business in partnership with marketing managers. Lead development of 1st and 3rd party audience strategies.
Conduct keyword research, monitor and perform routine optimization for paid search campaigns, impression share, quality score, bid strategy management, budget allocation, forecasting, performance monitoring, and testing ad format and landing pages.
Monitor and analyze competitor activity, marketplace trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
Develop and test copy that drives performance. Conduct A/B testing with ad copies, landing pages, images, and more.
Identify the need to create and modify landing page content for the best user experience, and generate keyword-focused content for the landing page.
Optimize shop campaigns to drive conversions and sales on eCommerce site.
Follow, analyze, and optimize against digital trends and the latest technological advancements in media landscape
Collaborate closely with integrated marketing managers and marketing operations team to align campaign and search strategies to wider organizational objectives.
Bachelor in Business, Marketing, Advertising or related field preferred
5+ years experience in digital marketing and paid search/media advertising preferred
Google AdWords expert
Extensive hands-on experience managing and optimizing paid media programs, including managing paid search and paid media budgets, campaign execution, and analysis.
Familiarity with organic search (SEO) and how it impacts paid search, plus social advertising and web usability.
Wider understanding of biddable media (Social, Search, Video, Programmatic)
Analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends and insights through data analysis and clearly communicate findings and visualize data in dashboards and presentations.
Experience with search data tools and technologies like SEMRush, SimilarWeb, etc.
Exceptional written, verbal and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of employees. Experience presenting to senior-level leadership.
Strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, a self-starter mindset, and a willingness to challenge and re-imagine the status quo.
Experience vetting, engaging, and working closely with third party paid media vendors.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, VLOOKUPS and chart building
Experience with marketing automation (Eloqua) and CRM (Salesforce) reporting and programs
Ecommerce experience a plus
