Job Description
Manages strategic development for payments related public relations and earned media efforts. Lead external communication efforts with Corporate Communications to drive presence and preference for DGN in the payments ecosystem. Develop comprehensive earned media strategy in collaboration with the PR agency to complement paid content efforts. This position also focuses on the development of external communications including press releases, reactive statements, and crisis communication planning as it relates to the payments organization. In addition, this person has a strong comprehension of corporate communications and related metrics.
The ideal candidate has a passion for storytelling, and a curiosity for finding the unique aspects of a story that will drive preference for DGN. This role will work across the Payments business unit to integrate public relations efforts with thought leadership content to grow presence for DGN. This position will work closely with executive leaders and our corporate communications to develop their platform in a variety of media.
Responsibilities
- Partners with media teams on media planning, buying, and moreover, reporting. Secures legal approvals and maintains compliance records.
- Develops communications plans for the upcoming year, including ideation around brand successes, learnings, and new opportunities.
- Manages agencies (internal and external) in the development of digital creative executions for mass media.
- Manages timeline, blueprint, rotation, and agency assignments and management (strategy through implementation), including trafficking.
- Proactively manages vendor opportunities, compliance, and regulatory requests.
Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Communication, Marketing, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field
- In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or related field
Preferred Qualifications

- Strong writing skills
- Comprehensive understanding of the PESO or POE model
- Experience coaching executive leaders in preparing for interviews
- Public relations, earned media and/or paid content experience
