About the Role

G2’s PR team is looking for the best-connected PR Manager in Chicago, San Francisco, (or remote for the right candidate) with incredible business and consumer tech PR experience and great ties to Tier 1 tech publications. We’re looking for a creative storyteller with passion for entrepreneurship and technology to build and leverage close relationships with press and influencers and evangelize the G2 brand, mission, and movement in the market.

This role will drive top-tier consumer-style media-focused campaigns and other marketing initiatives in collaboration with the Senior Manager of Partnerships and Community, and work in conjunction with our CMO, PR agency, executive thought leaders, and key internal stakeholders to craft compelling narratives around company initiatives; and design, communicate, and execute scalable communications strategies that drive impactful results.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Senior Manager of Community and Partnerships, our executive team, and internal stakeholders to craft the G2 brand story and messaging strategy in a way that resonates with our team and our market.
  • Build, further develop, and leverage relationships with consumer, tech, business, and industry media to evangelize the G2 brand, mission, and movement in the market.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories around G2 announcements and initiatives that resonate with audiences, editors, and journalists at different media publications and align with market trends and company narratives.
  • Collaborate with our agency and content team to develop our thought leadership strategy, creating a media training program to prepare our spokespeople as well as by-lines, presentations, and talking points that represent their voice, incorporate G2 messages, and resonate with their audience.
  • Collaborate with marketing teammates and other project stakeholders in sales and the executive leadership team to create scalable processes.
  • Monitor campaign progress and metrics and make recommendations on areas of optimization

Requirements:

  • A strong base set of personal and professional relationships with tier one consumer, tech and business contacts, with an ability to form new, meaningful relationships quickly.
  • Deep experience managing media and analyst relations for consumer (B2C) and/or technology companies (B2B).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, storytelling, speaking, and collaboration skills and experience.
  • Experience in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content.
  • Ability to showcase numerous successes from previous top-tier media outreach campaigns and news announcements.
  • Experience in creating, editing, and promoting written and visual content.
  • Master prioritization and project management skills. You care about the details, you know that results are all that matter -- and you thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing work environment
  • Experience in Asana, Slack, Salesforce and Hubspot are a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree and strong academic background
