We are seeking a savvy Public Relations Manager to join our Chicago team. Reporting into the VP, Marketing Strategy, this individual will be responsible for ThinkMarkets global communications. This position will work cross-functionally across multiple international offices and agencies to tell the story of our company, ensure consistent brand voice globally, and increase brand awareness and visibility. This is an exciting opportunity to join a diverse and talented team in the fast growing FinTech industry. The ideal candidate will have direct agency experience and will be dynamic and proactive in their approach to sharing the ThinkMarkets brand with the world.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product , Marketing, and Executive teams to plan and execute integrated social media activities and campaigns that align with ThinkMarkets’ key business priorities
• Lead the development and execution of strategic external communications plans and programs that tell our story to the media, investors, and other key audiences
• Create well-crafted and highly engaging communications such as pitches, press releases, articles, and blog posts
• Work with cross-functional partners to develop and refine communications content to ensure a consistent brand voice and effective storytelling
• Constantly test new strategies, content, and campaigns to evolve and improve audience engagement and desired actions
• Maintain a cadence of news releases and story placements to maximize positive exposure and strengthen the firm's thought leadership and positioning among key audiences
• Seek, identify, and propose prominent, strategically aligned speaking opportunities for our executive leadership

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in Public Relations, Media, Communications, or related field
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related field
• In depth understanding of public relations and social media. Experience working within a company in process of going public while managing press releases related to an IPO is a plus
• Agency experience is a must along with relevant media connections 
• Experience with media content creation and press releases
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Online brokerage or FinTech experience a plus
• Proactive self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail
