Product Marketing Manager
About The Role
MVMNT is looking for an experienced product marketing professional to join our Product Marketing team. This role will partner closely with Product and Engineering, Sales, Client Success, and Marketing to name a few. You will act as a subject matter expert (SME) on the MVMNT TMS platform and add-on services, our integrations, our customers, and competitors, and will effectively transfer that knowledge to the Sales, Marketing, and Product teams. To thrive in this role, you will need to be a highly collaborative team member with a can-do attitude who can quickly break down problems, recognize opportunities, and work with cross-functional teams to deliver creative and effective solutions.
Reporting into Marketing, the Product Marketing Manager role carries a high level of responsibility, as the focus of the role will be on driving the successful messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategy of all product lines - backed by strategic marketing insights, customer research, market evidence (including competitors), and product life cycle analysis.
While we prefer candidates located in Chicago, we will consider exceptional applicants in other locations.
Responsibilities:
- Translate unique product services offerings and value propositions from business strategy development into specific messaging and positioning to target customers
- Identify the target audiences for our product and service offerings
- Assess competitive landscape to determine overall positioning in the marketplace
- Capture results and conduct metrics and ROI analysis to assess success and inform product optimization
- Enabling relevant internal and external stakeholders on our products and solutions, through training and content
- Defining and implementing the GTM strategy for new launches & campaigns
- Attending trade shows and other events to help showcase our products
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of relevant corporate B2B product marketing experience
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related business or technology field
- Proven track record of successful product launches, ability to convert technical language into value-oriented messaging, and creating highly effective sales materials
- Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through testing and optimization
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in B2B software or technology product marketing
- Experience in B2B freight technology or brokerage technology
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally and building consensus among multiple stakeholders in an startup environment
- Experience managing products and policies that involve TMS or brokerage technology
- Master of Business Administration degree
