Remarketing Specialist

What will your day look like?
You will be responsible for maximizing the amount recovered for collateral sold at auction and other venues. The remarketing specialist must have a proven track record of utilizing innovative solutions to locate people, assets, units, and other key information to reduce the amount of time from repossession assignment to remarketing. The incumbent is responsible for coordinating and monitoring vehicle sales at auction, internet sites and remote locations nationally. The specialist will work with agents and auctions on sale results, expectations and strategies. Work requires a high sense of urgency, multi-tasking and organizational skills in a fast paced environment. The Remarketing Specialist will ensure receipt and accuracy of sale proceeds and fees assessed and may assist with compiling of statistical reports and other special projects. Some travel may be required.

- Ensure status updates are timely with vendor network to ensure efforts are meeting our expectations
- Report performance issues to leadership to suggest adding or removing vendors
- Follow up with vendors to ensure appropriate efforts and goals are achieved
- Maintain working relationships with vendors, and agencies that work in cooperation with the specialty areas
- Create and deliver insightful reports on vendor performance
- Research, evaluate, design, and test the need and development of process and product changes
- Consistently supports Loss Prevention team with designing and implementing new reports, queues, views, or other enhancements in Akcelerant
- Participate in new and innovative projects to improve efficient servicing operations and success of strategy
- Proactively engage and collaborate with internal and external partners to successfully accomplish department and organizational goals
Qualifications

You’ll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor’s graduate preferred and minimum 2-4 years’ experience in repossessing and remarketing auto and recreational vehicles, and you have:
- Must be results and improvement driven, customer-service and quality-focused, and have the ability to work in a fast-paced, team oriented environment
- Ability to think critically and use sound judgment in decision making
- Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills
- Highly knowledgeable in regulations relating to lending or collection laws
- Excellent computer skills and highly proficient in Excel
- Experience with data gathering, analysis and reporting
- Strong desire to learn and continuously grow impact of the role
- Self-starter, extremely detail-oriented and a highly collaborative team member
