Senior Director, Integrated Digital Marketing, ProFlowers.com

Reporting to the SVP/GM, ProFlowers, our Sr. Director, Integrated Marketing, will be responsible for setting and leading the brand marketing strategies, driving innovation, and all brand-building activities of this business unit, partnering with the marketing center of excellence on channel level execution. You will have accountability for the development of a multi- channel marketing strategy: creating a road map which will include delivering on the following: determining the optimal marketing mix and budget with a data driven and customer centric lens,while actively managing our performance marketing tactics and campaigns You will be strategic and hands on in your approach to representing the brand's goals, helping to re-establish the brand as a digital disruptor in the space, while also having the expertise to provide tactical direction across all channels of marketing including SEM, SEO, Social, Email, Affiliate and Traditional marketing. l. Additionally, responsible for launching an enhanced retention program including our email go to market strategy and launching an email program.

What We are Looking For:

Our ideal candidate will have had hands-on experience managing a range of marketing channels execution for a highly recognizable .com business and understands the importance of both brand building and revenue and traffic-generating marketing vehicles. You have demonstrated success in building out a 3-year roadmap to support business growth and leading a comprehensive strategy to help the brand gain awareness that also drives sales volume. Additionally, you are customer centric in your approach and in building marketing strategies and tactics, and are data driven in your decision making. Open mindedness, flexibility, and a concise and persuasive communication style that encourages action that allows you to confidently present to executive stakeholders (these characteristics are all part of your DNA!)

What You Will Contribute:

  • Responsible for building a comprehensive marketing strategy and plan while supporting execution with a brand-driven focus on the business and the customer (be the brand champion) used to grow reach, awareness, efficient conversions, and lifetime value.
  • Responsible for determining marketing spend levels and resource allocations optimizing for both brand building and traffic driving activities assisting in building and maintaining the budget.
  • Responsible for developing and coordinating the deployment of integrated marketing plans as well as and monitoring campaign execution reporting back to the business on results and program updates and any course correction needed
  • Oversee and grow web analytics to provide in-depth analysis of website and channel performance through analysis of traffic, the conversion funnel, average order size, and ROI to make recommendations and implement strategies for improvement. Adjust programs based on budget and ROI to maximize growth
  • Responsible for maximizing customer lifetime value through direct communications and promotions, and building out and maintaining the customer journey and key customer insights needed to support and drive the business
  • Support and advise the business on pricing and discount strategy, product development as it relates to competitive market opportunities and consumer needs, and on determining market position vis-à-vis the competition
  • Assist in refreshing an updated brand style guide and brand architecture
  • Share results and recommendations with key stakeholders and senior management.

 

Summary of Qualifications:

  • Accomplished digital and direct marketing leader with 5-10 years of developing acquisition and retention marketing strategies and leading and inspiring teams to execute those strategies.
  • Well-versed in all aspects of digital marketing, analytics and consumer insight with a strong focus on ROI metrics.
  • Proven success creating and executing effective brand strategies, with the ability to communicate that vision in a pragmatic way using benchmarking and key metrics.
  • Strong marketing aptitude, including strategic direction setting, campaign conceptualization, and communication strategy development.
  • Willingness to travel between the Chicago and San Diego offices
  • Self-starter with superior time management, project management and organizational skills
  • Exceptional data-analysis skills and ability to communicate findings effectively in a non-technical manner
  • Self-motivated, resourceful and creative mindset
  • Strong collaboration and cross-functional team experience
  • Experience in a gifting business a plus
  • MBA from a top tier university
