Job Description

Proflowers is seeking an experienced Senior Email Marketing Manager who is creative, innovative, and analytical. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing and executing the strategy for the email program including fully lifecycle marketing, email automation and personalization, and segmentation in addition to creating product and brand stories through storytelling & content. This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial individual to shape the future program and make an immediate impact on the Proflowers.com business. The ideal candidate will be creative, forward thinking, strategic, data driven and customer centric obsessing over the ideal customer experience and leading cutting edge technologies and will have room to explore and innovate.

Responsibilities

  • Design a product, occasion, and brand led email marketing calendar embedded with forecast and trend analysis and financial goals; responsible for creative briefing
  • Create and manage the email marketing budgets, develop email marketing plans and goals to meet revenue and performance targets.
  • Develop strategies and implementation plans for lifecycle, triggered, and enhanced personalization using segmentation and predictive modeling; and set goals to meet overall channel revenue and performance targets
  • Develop prospecting plans to drive list growth, reporting on success including cost to acquire a new customer, partnering with CRM to evaluate survival, LTV, and retention analysis.
  • Manage ongoing optimization of program KPI's by designing comprehensive, measurable A/B testing methods; responsible for developing testing plans
  • Track campaign, channel and client data to inform planning; clearly communicate key learnings, actionable hindsights, and recommend new opportunities to leadership
  • Drive process efficiencies through continuous improvement of workflow, tools and development of talent
  • Management of 1 direct report

Desired Skills & Experience

  • BA/BS required, MBA a plus
  • 5+ years of email marketing experience for ecommerce brand or digital agency; with In-depth knowledge of email marketing and best practices; including segmentation and high-volume list pull, and developing automated and lifecycle programs
  • Experience developing content calendar and overseeing creative asset creation
  • Proven strategic thinking, analytical, data interpretation, and problem-solving skills. Strong project management and process development capabilities. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Proactive and resourceful self-starter with excellent problem solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, effective communications skills
  • Desire to roll up sleeves and execute while also seeing the broader vision of the channel
  • Thrives in fluid, demanding environments and can juggle competing high-priority projects
  • Can comfortably and effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners
  • Strong analytics skills using data to tackle problems and translate results into recommendations
  • Experience with leading ESP and CRM software
