Job Description
About this Role
The Senior Competitive Intelligence Manager will serve as a market intelligence resource for Marketing Sales, Product, and Executive stakeholders by elevating awareness of adtech/martech product landscapes to inform and shape product differentiation, market positioning and pricing strategy across Epsilon products and verticals. This role will engage across stakeholders to define key information needs, develop research requirements, and conduct detailed product research to identify product-specific competitive advantages and generate compelling sales tools that improve sales effectiveness and product positioning decisions. This person will be working in a collaborative environment developing top-tier competitive positioning to drive clarity and confidence with our sales and client-facing teams.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities

  • Understand the adtech/martech market, current and emerging competitive threats, competitors' solutions, product strengths and weaknesses, strategies, and partnerships
  • Complete primary and secondary research, analysis, and synthesis of information to understand the competitive landscape, competitor profiles, market position, SWOT analysis and selling tactics
  • Develop and maintain key competitors' product offering comparisons, research competitors for changes in product positioning, technologies, and new product launches
  • Formulate competitive sales strategies, positioning and tools (training content, sales alerts, battle cards, product feature and positioning comparisons) to aid sales effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to create product content to articulate the competitive benefits & differentiators of our product offerings and inform messaging strategies
  • Support Product Management & Marketing product (feature-functionality) gap analysis, competitive threats and product launch strategies derived from competitors' product features, pricing and performance analysis
  • Develop a scalable competitive process and systems that maximizes output, speed, breadth and depth of competitor understanding
  • Create and optimize competitive content refreshes that maximizes value for Sales, Marketing, Product, and Executive stakeholders
  • Analyze and recommend tools and platform(s) to drive scale and efficiency in monitoring, competitive analyses, and reporting


Job Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in competitive intelligence, research, consulting, sales, presales or product marketing
  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university; MBA a plus
  • Industry experience in adtech and/or martech space along with an understanding of industry forces, competitor landscape and product positioning
  • Proven ability to research and analyze markets, products and competitors and translate that information into actionable intelligence, positioning campaigns and sales tools
  • Excellent written and communication skills, and ability to quickly create differentiated positioning and messaging that resonates with prospects, customers and internal stakeholders
  • Leadership and influencing skills, strong ability to partner, align with multiple product/business stakeholders, working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong sense of accountability, ability to work independently and productively in an unstructured environment
  • Passionate about technology and becoming an expert in the market landscape
  • Proven record of translating and articulating complex concepts into simple and clear messages
  • An engaging, outgoing personal style--enjoy working on a team and supporting a talented, fun group of marketing professionals
  • Ability to handle a fast-paced environment, and the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing business needs
  • Creative, resourceful, self-starter who is results oriented and a collaborative team player.
  • Highly organized with good follow through capabilities
