Summary

As a rapid-growth startup with ambitious acquisition goals, Equilibria’s ECommerce Marketing team is responsible for acquiring, retaining and nurturing a community of women to best support Equilibria’s mission + vision of bringing balance to the lives of as many women as possible through premium CBD and personalized dosage support/education. 

The Performance Marketing Manager reports directly to the Director of ECommerce Marketing and will be responsible for executing a strategy to create an optimal and efficient mix of online marketing revenue-driving investments via paid, affiliate and SEO channels.

Responsibilities

A successful Performance Marketing Manager will: 

  • Establish the strategy, plan, implement, analyze and optimize all online performance marketing activities around paid media, paid social, paid search, affiliate and SEO channels. 
  • Drive revenue, achieve targeted customer acquisition cost and achieve positive OKR deliverables
  • Work with Product and Finance to determine monthly, quarterly and annual revenue forecasts and budgets
  • Track and evaluate OKRs of all responsible marketing channels (paid, affiliate, SEO) and determine necessary adjustments to optimize overall marketing effectiveness in line with budgeted marketing spend.
  • Manage the day-to-day performance marketing activities across multiple partners and platforms including but not limited to analysis, campaign optimization, a/b testing, creative brief preparation & reporting.
  • Manage our affiliate agency to recruit new affiliates, negotiate commissions, build relationships, increase engagement and plan media placements, ensuring the correct and timely delivery of campaign materials.
  • Serve as the acquisition lead for promo development. Update the content & promo calendar and executions in close cooperation with cross-functional teams. Manage the execution of these campaigns. Measure results and ROI of these campaigns. 
  • Collaborate on email campaign and retention strategies & tactics with greater marketing organization. 
  • Work with your Ecommerce and Product counterparts to create a seamless customer journey from point of acquisition to conversion to deliver the ideal customer experience. 
  • Manage our SEO agency to define site optimization and keyword-rich content strategy for increased organic visibility
  • Partner with stakeholders in other departments to ensure cross-functional concerns are taken into account in planning and prioritization

 

Qualifications

  • Significant prior experience:
    • - In an eCommerce environment targeting DTC
    • - Online channel strategy beyond organic social
    • - SEO strategy and site optimization structure
    • - Paid media implementation including programmatic
    • - Managing or working with affiliate programs
    • - 5+ years of experience in performance-based marketing
  • Ability to effectively manage 3rd party external agencies
  • Excellent working knowledge of web analytics tools and the ability to consolidate and analyze data from multiple sources
  • Detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively and manage expectations across all organizational roles
  • Experience “managing up,” with strongly held opinions and recommendations
  • Entrepreneurial mindset is a huge plus.
  • A high tolerance for the uncertainty and nimble pivoting of a startup environment; seeing opportunity in change.
