Senior SEO Manager
We are looking for an energetic and experienced Senior Manager to help deliver high quality SEO services for our clients, and oversee a growing SEO practice area, in a remote work organization. The position is full-time, but we are also open to 2 or more SEO professionals working on a part-time basis to meet our client and team needs. The SEO team works alongside our paid digital media and strategy consulting group in providing the top brands in higher education a full range of SEM/SEO and growth strategy consulting services.
The ideal candidate will not only have deep expertise in SEO and content marketing but will also have a track record of successful client-facing relationships. The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge, Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager experience, and the ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently.
Responsibilities include:
- Directly manage the company’s key SEO accounts, which includes performing technical SEO audits, developing on-site, off-site, technical and content marketing strategies.
- Oversee the quality of our overall SEO services relative to best practices and client performance goals
- Define and communicate website best practices including site architecture, user experience, conversion optimization, and content development
- Develop and communicate project timelines, updates and results with clients, teammates and management
- Participate in client (video) calls, present client reports, and attend client meetings
- Directly oversee the management of client engagements to assure they stay within scope, budget and meet project timelines
- Assist in new business pitches, publish thought leadership and occasionally attend conferences
- Oversee the hiring and management of an SEO team as the SEO practice area grows
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree
- Minimum 6 years of SEO experience
- Minimum of 2 years in client-facing SEO agency role
- Google Analytics Certified
- Proficiency with common SEO tools (SEMRush, Moz, Screaming Frog, Search Console)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), G Suite (Spreadsheets, Docs, Slides), Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio (or comparable tool)
- Ability to work during Central time zone hours
