The Role
The SEO Specialist position is important to GTI's progress in SEO. They are proficient in content optimization and know how to measure and improve rankings to gain competitive advantage on search engines. The SEO Specialist helps move the SEO work from theory to practice. They are excellent communicators, detail-oriented, and have skills in analytics, research, and client management. They may also work on other GTI partner websites.
This candidate should be proficient in executing planned SEO work and reporting. This position will be responsible for executing the day to day SEO activities across the primary Rise website and all other organic listings, both for 1st or 3rd parties. They will help to manage online citations, perform outreach and backlink solicitation, and improve social media campaigns. Specific responsibilities include keyword research and segmentation by user intent, location, and device type, as well as keyword mapping and on-page optimization tactics.
The daily role of the SEO Specialist is to execute, plan, and report on SEO tactics as part of the SEO team. This role will work closely with retail marketing and internal brand marketing teams, as well as the Head of SEO, Senior SEO Strategist, Senior Director of Customer Experience, creative teams, and data analysts and will help identify content gaps and opportunities.
Responsibilities

  • Implement strategic initiatives and execute specific project tasks at a large-scale across multiple websites and properties
  • Execution of on-page and off-page optimization tasks, such as coordination with copywriters, content strategists, web design and development teams
  • Perform extensive keyword research using existing client data and 3rd Party data (Search Console, AdWords Query Reports, SEMRush, Moz, Google Trends, )
  • Execute day to day tasks of SEO campaigns including on-page optimization tactics and brief creation for technical website updates, campaign reporting,
  • Regularly run technical website audits and competitor analysis reports
  • Provide regular updates on SEO performance, keyword ranking progress, and long-term initiatives


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or greater with a major in Marketing, Information Technology
  • 3+ years of experience as an SEO practitioner with a track record of success
  • Corporate background working for or with large business entities with a nation-wide presence, both agencies and in-house within a brand
  • Experience with clients that have nation-wide locations, requiring hyper-local strategies
  • Experience with migrating large websites to new domains or site rebuilds/redirects
  • Must be willing to play a supportive role in the optimization of similar verticals, such as social media optimization (SMO), conversion rate optimization (CRO), reporting & analytics
  • Must be able to work well individually and as part of a team
  • Must be passionate about all things related to Internet Marketing, be a sponge for knowledge and advocate for fresh training
  • Must be entrepreneurial-spirited and willing to "hustle" when necessary to accomplish a goal
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail are required
  • Please be willing to share specific successes starting from how you researched, applied, and reported on SEO efforts including visits, conversions, and revenue growth

  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
