Social Media and Communications Intern

We’re looking for a social media and communications intern to join our growing marketing department, working closely with our Communications Manager. Ideal candidate is an organized, good natured ass-kicker with strong writing skills and social media experience, who can manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Time commitment is 20-25 hrs a week.

Key Responsibilities

• Leverage organic social channels to drive followers and engagement, positioning Showpad as a trusted resource for sales and marketing and as an employer of choice
• Curate and craft creative and engaging social media content including relevant press articles and thought leadership from third party sources
• Monitor social channels for opportunities to engage with influencers and address customer or prospect questions
• Help manage social media advocacy tool by creating content within platform for employees to share across organization
• Track and analyze key social media metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement
• Help compile monthly newsletter
• Other duties as assigned

Skills

• Previous experience managing social media for LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook
• Excellent writing skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience with Sprout Social and Bambu a plus, but not required
• Ability to work independently, balance multiple tasks at once
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven team environment
