What You'll Do

The Solutions Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Uptake industry solutions to market from definition to launch. You will be responsible for defining and executing integrated go-to-market strategies and launch roadmaps for products and solutions created by Uptake. You will educate the sales teams and equip them with the necessary sales enablement tools for them to successfully prospect, engage and win business. You will drive new revenue by educating the market, designing and executing campaigns and creating demand across the industrial sector for Uptake products. This position requires as much expertise with client communication as it does with internal collaboration and technology, as well as constant learning and iteration.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and colleagues to define and design specific industry solutions and offerings, and communicate them to customers and stakeholders
  • Build and execute go-to-market plans
  • Develop sales enablement tools and training material for Uptake sales teams and partners
  • Engage with the market and prospective customers and educate them about Uptake’s products and solutions
  • Be the trusted advisor to the internal customer by understanding their existing and future IT roadmap to drive adoption of Uptake products within the marketplace
  • Capture market research and persona insights to drive solution/product direction and roadmap
  • Partner with teammates in Marketing and Communications groups to create, organize, and deliver collateral and campaigns
  • Provide support to teammates in order to ensure effective accomplishments of deliverables, customer satisfaction, and revenue growth
  • Ensure all customer communication and internal knowledge sharing is documented in CRM
  • Travel as-needed to support sponsorships, clients and partners

Qualifications

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in marketing, product marketing, solution marketing, or integrated campaign experience in enterprise SaaS products or solutions
  • Experience developing and executing industry go-to-market strategies
  • Experience managing and creating the whole spectrum of sales and marketing tools (websites, presentations, sell sheets, white papers and case studies, demos, training materials) to communicate our value proposition to customers and partners
  • Ability to translate technical content and product info into useful materials for non-technical audiences
  • Experience and domain expertise in at least one of the following key industrial areas for Uptake: Agriculture, Energy, Construction, Chemicals, Mining, Oil & Gas, Manufacturing
  • A collaborative mindset, and proven success fostering internal/external relationships
  • Strong project management skills
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills—especially a strong ability to translate between technical and business stakeholders

Preferred

  • BS/MS or advanced degree, with a preferred concentration in Marketing, Business, Communications, Science, Technology, or Engineering
  • Familiarity with concepts and technologies behind Big Data Analytics, Predictive Analytics, Predictive Maintenance, and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
  • Passion for tackling big challenges through teamwork to achieve measurable results
  • A sense of humor, entrepreneurial spirit, and a passion to help create the industrial solutions of the future

Location

We are located in River North just right off the Chicago Brown Line stop. We also provide you with a free shuttle service to/from Ogilvie and Union.
