We are looking for an innately curious, deeply analytical and highly driven Analyst who will support the Marketing Retention Analytics team to answer a variety of key business questions. This role will be responsible for uncovering trends and strategic insights in diner behavior, building and improving key-metric dashboards, and leveraging data to unlock opportunity and drive strategic marketing decisions to retain our customers and minimize churn. This role will report to the Senior Manager, Retention Strategy & Analytics. We are a lean team; to succeed in this role, you must operate with an ownership mindset and be comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-changing environment.
The Impact You Will Make
- Using SQL, leverage large data sets to derive insights and reporting that will drive better business decisions across Marketing - incorporating automation when possible.
- Help define KPIs related to diner quality/retention/behavior for success measurement, as well as campaign and channel optimization.
- Identify and analyze trends and shifts in diner behavior, both independently and in collaboration with owners of marketing channels or product and data scientists, and use analysis results to advise on test plans.
- Build and own dashboards that senior leaders can leverage to capitalize on key areas of opportunity.
- Conduct marketing analyses and share data-driven insights succinctly using data visualizations to synthesize the impact of initiatives led by partner teams, while proactively delivering optimization, campaign, and/or content recommendations.
What You Bring to the Table
- Bachelor's degree required
- 4-6 years of experience in an analytical role, preferably within ecommerce, marketing, finance, or product management
- Advanced SQL and reporting (Tableau required)
- Experience with Marketing engagement metrics and analytics for Ecommerce, Digital Marketing, and/or CRM
- Experience with measuring attribution and cross channel measurement approaches
- Experience developing and analyzing A/B and multivariate test plans
- Experience with consumer journey/segmentation and web analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Campaign/Analytics, Google Analytics) is a plus
- Detail-oriented, with excellent communication and presentation skills
- Keen business acumen and ability to apply context to sanity-check numbers
- Ability to simplify complex information and explain to broader audiences

Vaccination Requirement: Grubhub employees are required to be fully vaccinated, and must be able to show proof of full-Covid-19 vaccination, and booster if eligible, prior to starting employment.
