We are looking for an experienced email marketing and loyalty leader who will build upon an integrated, brand marketing strategy to support our vision of being the most trusted e-commerce provider of floral products in the industry. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Brand Marketing & Site Experience for FTD.com, you will play a pivotal role in developing and implementing a more contemporary loyalty program that uses email as a primary, but not sole, engagement channel with our brand fans. This is a rare opportunity to fill a meaningful role in the transformation of our company, and you are passionate about the customer experience with FTD Companies Brands.

To win in this role, you will:

  • You help define the approach and strategy for the FTD loyalty program and lead activation across appropriate channels
  • You develop strategies and implementation plans for lifecycle, triggered, and enhanced personalization using segmentation and predictive modeling for email and other consumer touch points
  • You create and lead email marketing budgets, build email marketing plans and goals to meet revenue and performance targets based on forecast and trend analysis, including programming and deployment
  • You passionately optimize with a "perpetual beta" mindset to drive continuous improvement; develop iterative test plans
  • You brief creative teams based on content strategy and calendar that inspire, bring to life the brand voice, yet are adaptable given the opportunity to optimize with agility
  • You demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative skills to analyze CRM/email data and translate it into action
  • You think beyond email to developing a broader approach for how FTD builds loyalty and uses multiple CRM tools to provide continual engagement and reward for loyal brand fans
  • You communicate effectively with all levels of the organization simply and concisely, sharing takeaways that unearth crucial insights and clear actions
  • You explore and identify new CRM tools, processes and capabilities to adopt in support of the vision for this function
  • You are fun to work with and possess a no-nonsense approach to accountability and results
  • Hire the best and develop talent to be our future leaders; management of one (1x) direct report plus other partners

Key requirements

  • Brains, ambition, energy, and passion; possess big thinking with a long-term horizon
  • Hands-on strategist who is willing to roll-up her/his sleeves and be fearless while also building a broader vision
  • Robust and direct experience with ESP and CRM software; knowledge of design software (Adobe Dreamweaver) ideal
  • Proven experience growing CRM database through paid and organic acquisition efforts
  • 5+ years of email marketing experience for e-commerce brand or digital agency, with in-depth knowledge of standard methodologies including segmentation and high-volume list pull, developing automation and lifecycle programs
  • BA/BS Required; MBA preferred
  • Willingness for occasional travel (less than 10%) #LI-DM1
