Supplier Marketing Specialist, Zoro
Title: Supplier Partnership Program – Manager Development Role
Reports to: Marty Rossman
Location: Buffalo Grove
Company Summary:
In the past seven years, Zoro has grown from a group of 6 people working out of a 2,000 square foot building, offering fewer than 100,000 products to a group of 300+ working out of a 60,000+ square foot building, offering more than 2,300,000 unique products.
Primary Function:
Goal is to become competent in all program leadership and execution areas in order to develop into program owner, continuing to drive growth of supplier funding and participation, execution completeness, and incremental Zoro revenue impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Key Areas of the Role:
- Be part of the execution ownership team across a portion of the 20 program tactics
- Service participating Suppliers: questions, needs, updates, and prep for specific tactics’ participation
- Lead frequent update calls and in-person meetings with participating suppliers
- Ongoing promotion of program participation to Suppliers and cross-functionally across Zoro
Program Leadership Development
- Participate as a key contributor in mid-year development process of 2020 program
- Key input into program execution improvements
- Key role in 2020 program debut in September, and sell-in meetings in September and October
- Owner of specific execution tactics
- Take increasing amount of overall program responsibility in a leadership role, working toward transition for full program ownership
Qualifications:
- Experienced across multiple product categories
- Knowledge of wide-range of digital go-to-market channels
- Marketing portfolio development and execution experience
- Adept at multi-tasking and multiple ‘client mgmt’ work
- Excellent one-on-one and group presentation skills
- Systems operational expertise
