Kenna Security is revolutionizing cyber risk with a SaaS-based platform that uses data science to combine vulnerability data with exploit intelligence to measure risk, predict attacks and prioritize remediation. We are looking for an experienced self motivated technical writer to create technical documentation for sales and marketing needs. This is a ground floor opportunity to help establish a pubs group at Kenna Security.. This position is a FTE opportunity based in our Chicago office.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create high-level technical documentation for sales and marketing purposes.
• Create low-level technical documentation for end users and internal users of the platform
• Define a process and framework to ensure technical documentation is consistent.
• Work with Engineering team to research, write, and ensure the accuracy of content that covers current and future releases of our product
• Assess current technical documentation and make improvements as needed
• Spend time with customers to understand how they use the platform and what additional documentation would be helpful to create or improve.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Proven experience making technical content accessible to audiences with mixed levels of expertise
• Ability to learn highly technical products quickly by using the software and getting verbal feedback from engineers
• Enough technical understanding of APIs, software architecture, and cloud infrastructure needed to document them
• Experience working on agile development teams.
• Experience with publishing tools and ability to define the proper tools for our needs
• Comfortable working with geographically distributed team
• Motivation and ability to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience using internal “wiki” style documentation tools, such as Confluence.
