VP of Marketing
The Vice President of Marketing heads the implementation of lead generation, multi-channel marketing efforts and brand strategy development and differentiation for Everspring. The ideal candidate is a hands-on marketer with a proven track record and solid understanding of digital marketing tactics, multi-channel marketing plans, creative and content development, brand strategy, positioning development, as well as PR and other awareness marketing strategies and tactics. The candidate also brings a deep understanding of B2B marketing and sales (preferably in a SaaS or software environment). The role demands data-driven insight, brand sensitivity, creative inspiration and the entrepreneurial smarts of a “growth hacker”.
The Vice President of Marketing’s management style must lead to the development of a high-performing team with direct accountability for generating results. Reporting to Everspring’s Chief Marketing Officer, this senior leader will play a key client-facing role in managing successful University partnerships as well as bottom line business outcomes.
This position is located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Chief Marketing Officer to design and execute effective marketing programs
- Collaborate and drive the efforts to effectively position Everspring in a rapidly changing marketplace
- Partner and provide best in class thought leadership with the Everspring Sales team on the continued development and creation of compelling sales and marketing materials
- Consistently drive and deliver results to meet monthly revenue targets in order to achieve Company goals in a data driven and financially disciplined way
- Work cross functionally to develop effective nurturing protocols through the sales funnel
- Develop innovative acquisition strategies – maximizing existing channels and developing new channels
- Develop the annual marketing budget with Chief Marketing and ensure actual results meet or exceed budget requirements and other key performance indicators
- Maintain an intimate knowledge of marketing analytics and leverage this knowledge to ensure efficient management of all marketing activities
- Continue to drive a high-performing marketing team, including recruiting, performance management and professional development
Requirements:
This is an extraordinary opportunity for a Marketing leader with ten+ years of experience, including 5+ years of leading and managing a Marketing organization.
Other qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent professional qualification required. MBA or Master’s in Marketing Communications preferred
- Ad Agency or Higher Education marketing experience preferred
- Experience and understanding of B2B Marketing and Sales, preferably in a SaaS or software environment
- Experience servicing client accounts
- Successful track record of managing and negotiating contract terms with vendor partners
- Knowledge of digital marketing tactics
- Deep understanding of multi-channel marketing programs, creative and content development and brand strategy
- Prior experience with PR and other awareness generating marketing strategies and tactics
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage projects from inception through execution
- Entrepreneurial, self-starter that gets excited about rolling up their sleeves and digging into the work
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional organization and staff management skills
- Proven track record of being able to inspire and influence the organization and partners to gain alignment and support for business plans
