The VP, Multi-channel Marketing Strategy acts as a leader of the agency’s practice of, and steward of closerlook’s investment in multichannel marketing strategy within the pharmaceutical industry.  This key role reconciles current realities with future-focused vision of marketing and customer engagement.  The VP will architect, author, and publish the closerlook approach to informing, creating, communicating and optimizing MCM strategy.  You will establish best practices and common knowledge which best practices and common knowledge base from which our Project teams operate.   

Responsibilities

  • Lead and steward: Acts as a leader of the agency’s practice of, and steward of closerlook’s investment in, multichannel marketing strategy in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Architect and author of practice: Architect, author, and publish the closerlook approach to informing, creating, communicating and optimizing MCM strategy.  You will establish best practices and common knowledge which best practices and common knowledge base from which our Project teams operate.   Experiments and evolves practice with the intent of transparency.
  • Builder and manager of MCM experts: Constructs and manages the team of strategic resources both FTE and external.  Develops and retains to talent.  Models desired behaviors for judgement for strategists and broader agency staff.
  • External face and voice of MCM: Serve as closerlook’s external face and voice of MCM strategy – for current clients, in new business pursuits, at industry events and in other marketing/self-promotional settings

Requirements

  • 15 years of marketing experience specifically in multi-channel digital space
  • 10 years of working in Pharma/ healthcare (HCP, patient and consumer experience)
  • Minimum of 5 years working in an agency or consultancy
  • Experience immersing in brand objectives
  • Proven experience being an articulate storyteller and planner
  • Comfortable frequently toggling between objectives and execution
  • Demonstrable experience in building, managing and growing a functional group or team of experts
  • Significant management/supervisory experience
  • Bachelor degree in business, marketing or communications or related field required
  • Masters of Business Administration, Marketing or related field preferred
