Network Automation Engineer

We are looking for a highly-skilled Network Automation Engineer to join our team. Our network engineering team plays a crucial role in building the network infrastructure that drives our global trading systems. The primary focus of this role is to design, implement, and maintain our network automation and monitoring systems.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in Python development.
Your Core Responsibilities:

• Proactively improve our network infrastructure by designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions
• Manage current tooling for network provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Improve access to network telemetry data across the enterprise
• Collaborate with global teams to ensure implementation consistency across the entire network
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation processes, tools, and procedures
• Provide mentorship and training to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement

Your Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field of study or comparable professional experience
• 5+ years of network automation experience within a large-scale environment
• Proficiency with Python and Bash required
• Strong experience developing solutions using common frameworks. (i.e. Ansible, TICK, etc.)
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g., BGP, PIM-SM, LAN, multicast, etc.)
• Understanding of network monitoring tools (e.g., InfluxDB, Grafana, Kubernetes, Telegraf, and Kapacitor)
• Demonstrated experience designing solutions that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable across global teams
• A self-directed team player with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams
