Key Responsibilities

Build and manage operational dashboards and reports used to inform operations planning
Develop relationships across the business and work to identify current state processes and how to improve them through process change and technology
Design, implement, and manage interactive production planning tools and reports based on stakeholder feedback and future state processes at the facilities
Develop models and methodologies to monitor success of multiple facets of the business (facility capacity, machinery usage, labor, production, etc.)
Pursue exploratory data analysis in partnership with the Ops Analytics Manager to maximize impact on business results

Requirements

Attention to Detail: Organizational skill and ability to manage details of complex data systems and operational processes
Results oriented: Deal with ambiguity and make timely decisions to get to impact quickly
Problem solver: Identify issues quickly and bring recommended solutions backed by logic to the discussion
Interpersonal savvy: Develop rapport across the organization in order to build consensus for implementing new processes and tools
Technical ability: While experience using data exploration and visualization tools (e.g. Excel and Google Business Apps) are a must, experience using SQL, Python, and/or JavaScript highly desired. Ability to learn new languages and tools on the fly is highly desired.
1-2 years work experience in a junior developer or data analyst role preferred
Undergraduate degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or other relevant area of study

As a leader, Stone knows that one of his responsibilities is to mold the culture of his team. Iyer is a senior manager of new product development, but she also plays an active role in Home Chef’s cross-functional group, HC Connect. The group organizes social events that promote a sense of belonging across the company and also collaborates with the many affinity groups at Home Chef. Recently, Iyer attended a Mardi Gras trivia night where she learned about Creole culture and Spanish law.

I try to attend as many events as possible. I want to support my peers, but I also walk away with more than I expected, whether it’s a piece of trivia or understanding someone’s perspective in a new light.
