Job Description
This role can be done out of our Chicago Headquarters or Remote in the U.S.
The Audit Coordinator, Global Data Protection Compliance - Products serves in a key role in establishing and implementing a program to perform audits of products offered by Products & Sales. Information gathered will be used to drive compliance, and to prepare for and complete audits in support of necessary ISO, SOC and other audit, and certification activities. These activities will help to support the goals of the global privacy compliance and data protection programs within the Products & Sales business unit of Motorola Solutions, Inc. (“MSI”) in coordination with the compliance efforts driven by the Global Data Protection Office across other MSI business units. This position will report to the Director, Global Data Protection Compliance -Products under the Sr. Director, Global Data Protection - Products. He/she will also work closely with the MSI Data Protection Office (“DPO”) and MSI Legal Department as directed, to gather and share information necessary to complete audit activities across a wide range of products. The role will also interface with the MSI Information Security and product teams to gather information which will be used to help ensure compliance with applicable privacy laws and protection of company and third party data.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads and coordinates ISO, SOC2 and other audit and certifications activities with respect to products and services offered by the Products & Sales organization.
Monitors and audits established mechanisms and controls to ensure compliance with designated regulations
Prepares and submits reports on the results of audits, recommending improvements in policies and procedures
Supports the daily activities associated with implementation of the Products & Sales data protection compliance program.
Assists in the maintenance of comprehensive records of all data processing activities conducted by the Products & Sales organization, including the purpose of all processing activities which may be requested by regulators.
Assist in gathering new engineering and product data used to ensure ongoing compliance with privacy and data protection policies and applicable laws.
Perform other auditing, data protection and privacy relevant duties and responsibilities as assigned.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, Information Security or other related field;
CISA ,CISM or ISO Auditor certification preferred
Must possess a strong technical aptitude and be able to effectively communicate with technology professionals; data analysis skills required
Must have a working knowledge of auditing principles and risk assessment processes, privacy and data protection laws, regulations and best practices
Experience with compliance issues and standards at all levels (local, state, federal and international) and familiarity with industry-specific regimes (e.g. SOC, ISO27001, ISO 27701,SE HIPAA, PCI, GDPR, etc.)
