As a Career Coach, you will balance both strategic thinking and hands-on execution to establish Sprout’s Career Coaching Practice within the Organizational Development team. You will use your coaching expertise to augment development discussions between managers and employees by providing 1:1 coaching and support on topics such as career aspirations, career development, internal career mobility, strengths identification, and professional/personal goal setting. You’ll also identify common themes and trends to help proactively advance Sprout’s career development and coaching efforts across the organization. In addition to your career development focus, you’ll also provide coaching support and resources to managers and PBP’sPeople Business Partners on the art and science of coaching.
Given this role’s focus, we’re looking for someone with a minimum of 4 years of proven expertise and success as a coach or in a talent development capacity and has experience coaching through a lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Being ICF credentialed is a plus, but not a requirement.

Within 1 month, you will...
- Complete Sprout’s New Hire training program alongside other new Sprout team members. You’ll gain a broader understanding of our product and how your role fits into the organization
- Understand as much as you can about the culture, products, teams, and projects of Sprout to creatively support our award-winning culture
- Conduct initial 1:1s to develop relationships with key stakeholders to uncover and understand their needs with respect to employee career development and coaching
- Review past employee survey data and speak to employees across the organization to develop an understanding of employee experience as it pertains to career development
- Familiarize yourself with Sprout’s existing career development programs and initiatives
Within 3 months, you will…
- Formally establish the career coaching function within Sprout, with the broader support of the OD team
- Provide 1:1 career development coaching and support to employees
- Provide coaching and resources to support managers and People Business Partners
- Apply diversity, equity and inclusion best practices into your career development coaching methodology
- Determine and implement metrics and methods to measure the impact and effectiveness of coaching at the employee and org level
Within 6 months, you will…
- Identify key themes and trends across teams/Sprout related to career development and surface them up to key stakeholders (ie: OD, PBP, DEI)
- Facilitate workshops related to career development and coaching topics
- Continue to collaborate with the OD team and People Business Partners to help managers develop and refine their coaching skills and work with them on feedback delivery
Within 12 months, you will…
- Based on established metrics, evaluate long-term impact of the coaching practice on retention and engagement across the organization
- Partner with the broader Organizational Development team on developing initiatives particularly where there is a strong coaching and/or employee development component
- Surprise us! Use your unique ideas and abilities to change Sprout in beneficial ways that we haven’t even considered yet
