SPINS, a Chicago-based SaaS company, is seeking to hire a Client Development Manager to join its growing team.

By leveraging SPINS’ industry-leading proprietary data and analytics, our technology enables deeper, more engaged relationships between Retailers, Brands and Consumers through our platform, web, and mobile products.

WHAT DO WE NEED?

SPINS Business Development team is focused on the creation of long-term value from customers, markets, and relationships. Our goal is to build, manage, and leverage strategic partner relationships that are based on trust, respect, and a mutual appreciation of each other’s value to the growing health and wellness market.

The role has significant responsibility to penetrate and fully assimilate within the Hispanic CPG and Grocery organization and collaborate to ensure partnership goals are met. This includes Hispanic retailer membership, distributor engagement and manufacturer endorsement. As a recognized Subject Matter Expert, the Manager develops strategic and tactical business initiatives for leading retailers in the Natural, Organic, Specialty & Hispanic Products Industry.

WE'LL BE COUNTING ON YOU FOR:

The Client Development Manager will proactively engage with prospect retail partners to join the SPINS coalition and receive valuable data and insights on trending products in the Hispanic market. In addition, the Manager will use SPINS industry leading Natural, Organic, Specialty & Hispanic Product Market Research to uncover insights within the data, and serve as a thought leader in the industry. This high visibility, high impact part of our business builds and shapes the development of the varied Hispanic customer solutions for one of the fastest growing industries in today’s market.

This role is a dual function of Business Development and Account Management. The Client Development Manager has a unique combination of hunting capabilities, to efficiently engage and sell new retailers, as well as a personalized consulting mindset, to contextually communicate the value SPINS brings to the industry. This role will establish leads, track a pipeline and status of prospects, and proven successful at onboarding new retail partners to reach the Hispanic consumer. 

The role requires maintaining a meaningful SPINS presence within the Hispanic health-conscious population, leading high-impact initiatives and having the ability to influence and adapt quickly to the ever-changing business environment.

YOU PROBABLY HAVE...

  • Must be bilingual – English and Spanish
  • 5+ years of experience in business development and/or account relationship with a Retailer, Distributor, Broker or Manufacturer of Hispanic Foods
  • Strategic critical thinker with strong business acumen
  • Keen ability to understand the customer mindset and offer solutions
  • Well-developed interpersonal, organizational and project management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Inherently savvy and skilled at leveraging business relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Adept at learning new technologies and business functions
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experienced in Salesforce.com
  • Ability to travel up to 50% to cover retailer meetings, trade shows & industry event
  • BS/BA Degree in Business, Marketing, Management or Finance
