Client Engagement Lead

Kin + Carta is looking for a Client Engagement Lead to source, cultivate, and close new business for the Connect arm of Kin + Carta.

Reporting directly to the VP of Client Engagement, you will work with our Business Development Specialists, Consulting Services, larger Demand Generation Network, Subject Matter Experts, and the Executive Team to identify, qualify and close business in competitive pursuits.
This position will be responsible for selling Kin + Carta professional services contracts (digital advisory, digital customer experiences, enterprise marketing technology, and emerging capabilities). Activities involve pipeline development, lead qualification, customer meetings, proposal development, negotiations, and closing. In addition, you will participate in industry networking and partner-sponsored events to build direct sales pipelines.
It is key that you will be able to articulate value, inspire and sell the impact that data and marketing technology can have on transforming a business. As a trusted advisor, you are the person who will collaborate with SMEs across data, technology, and operations to develop compelling solutions to solve client’s marketing problems (comprised of data, martech, and operations consulting). The Director of Client Engagement / Client Engagement Principal will work with clients to help them solve existing cross-channel, marketing, content, and commerce challenges and identify future needs and opportunities to grow revenue. They will build and grow new business relationships.

Responsibilities
- Lead generation, cultivation, and follow-through
- Uncovering interested prospects across multiple verticals (financial services, retail, manufacturing, distribution, and healthcare)
- Develop, maintain, and expand a database of prospects within your pipeline
- Maintain a high level of Kin + Carta solution expertise and competitive intelligence
- Identify decision-makers and build relationships within targeted leads in order to initiate and move along the sales process.
- Provide compelling value propositions and real-time solutioning, in-person and via phone- emphasizing service differentiators, discussing contract terms, and preparing proposals
- Creates and presents custom presentations and sales proposals utilized in winning new business; Contributes to the RFP/RFI process
- Responsible for contract ownership of getting timely MSA, NDA, SOW’s in place with client and with the assistance of department managers for creation
- Submit accurate and complete information in Salesforce and provide regular updates to management regarding opportunities, trends, and challenges
- Maintain a commitment to continuous improvement, with active participation in internal and external sales coaching
- Develop key relationships with Sales Executives at key partners (Google, Episerver, Contentstack, Contentful, Commercetools, Adobe, Salesforce)
- Meet or exceed yearly new business revenue objectives
Minimum Qualifications

- BA, MBA or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of successful sales experience with 3+ years of experience in an enterprise sales role, focusing on large scale marketing experience and technology (content, commerce, automation) development projects, OR 2 years of program management in enterprise consulting
- Proven success selling professional services, including significant cross-channel services and solutions to C-level clients.
- Demonstrated industry experience in achieving or overachieving revenue targets of 3M+
- Consulting or agency background with strong consultative sales skills and can demonstrate the ability to sell the value of partnering with Kin + Carta
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of user experience design and agile software development lifecycle and have previously worked with either marketing, line of business and/or technology teams, in a delivery capacity, in enterprise environments.
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional delivery teams to leverage total scope of K+C’s products and services; articulate K+C services and implementation methodologies effectively to prospective clients.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, self-directed entrepreneurial environment
- Prominent organization, presentation, communication, and time management skills
- A strong understanding of marketing concepts and technology
- Demonstrated analytical and strategic skills with the ability to creatively problem-solve
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders, including senior leadership
