As in integral part of the NielsenIQ Retail Analytics business, the Merchandising Services team is focused on the execution of the real time insights from financial and stock data based on space.

NielsenIQ’s Spaceman is a complete suite to facilitate the planogram creation process, optimizing shelf space to increase revenue. Our mission is to sell and support this on-premise schematic software application that helps translate shopper and assortment strategies onto the shelf, ensuring optimal share of space and positioning on the shelf to increase sales. Key features are intuitive user experience, dynamic space analysis and process automation.


Job Description

The Client Manager is responsible for sales activities for existing and new Merchandising Services clients. Specifically, the Client Manager will be involved with planning and translating business goals into action plans that deliver on revenue targets. This position will partner with other client teams to execute sales plans and achieve sales targets set. This role will collaborate closely with the Associate Client Manager in coordinating the delivery of services.

Responsibilities

  • Account management to understand, support and assist existing and new clients with Spaceman Suite products and services
  • Mentor and review best practices with clients to provide measurable value leading to annual renewals
  • Identify and assist with recognition and delivery of upgrade / upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate with other NielsenIQ client business partners who share responsibilities with clients using NielsenIQ products and services with integration points
  • Manage the overall NielsenIQ relationship for clients who only work with Merchandising Services
  • Share client feedback and product experience with the global development team and advocate for the evolution of the products line
  • Lead Merchandising Services communications within the Retail Analytics team and across NielsenIQ
  • Continue development and delivery of mentoring programs - monthly webinars
  • Collaborate with ACM value delivery leading to retention and expansion of annual maintenance
  • Identify needs, and assist with the conducting of Spaceman training if required for new clients
  • Assist with client support issues for Connectivity and customization clients who are not fully supported by the Global Help Desk
  • Stay involved and assist with client support challenges that the ACM endures trying to manage such a large quantity of customers…strive for sustainability

Qualifications

  • Consultative selling with experience across data-driven solutions
  • Skilled & effective communicator, experience dealing with clients
  • Strong logic, deductive reasoning, problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Experience working with complex client relationships and client issue resolution
  • Able to work collaboratively with internal & external teams
  • Strong sense of urgency and accountability to deliver against quarterly & annual financial targets
  • Be comfortable leading the sales process start to finish, and closing deals with both long & short sales cycles

Background & Technical Skills

  • Bachelors Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Retail experience with merchandising, brand or category management
  • Space Management production experience
  • Merchandising analysis department management
  • Experience with implementation of HQ space management applications
  • Experience with production use of space management, relational planogram database and related modules
  • Understanding of relational databases such as MS SQL Server
  • Previous sales and client management experience
  • Familiarity with CRM client management process
  • Passion for learning new technologies
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software
