Could this be you? 

In this role, you will support clinical applications within your service line. You must achieve in-depth knowledge of the software application and operational workflows, as well as understand the policies, procedures, and constraints of the clinical or business operation supported by the application. You will work with business owners, vendors, and other team members to evaluate and recommend solutions to complex problems and requests. 

Skills for success 

  • Performs end user support, technical troubleshooting, software installation, and optimization of clinical applications.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to ensure clinical application integration configurations have appropriate leadership buy-in and approval, and meets the overall mission and strategy of VillageMD.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and non-clinical staff in their use of the EHR and medical devices to advance workflows to optimal efficiency that reflects best practices set by the Clinical Operations team.
  • Works closely with the Clinical Applications Project Managers and EHR Support & Optimization teams to determine impact of new initiatives and ensures alignment with long-term strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain Knowledge Base articles for the team regarding workflows in the clinical applications and how they integrate with our EHR.
  • Ability to identify and troubleshoot potential issues and participate in their resolution with highest customer satisfaction.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within flexible time frames.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%

The following experience is relevant to us:

  • Experience in healthcare Information Technology setting supporting clinical applications.
    • Electronic Health Records (EHR), medical device integration, PACS, or similar clinical application solutions
  • Minimum 2 years clinical applications support required
  • Knowledge of applicable data and privacy practices and laws in healthcare (HIPAA and HITECH)
