Omnium is Chicago’s first and only blockchain innovation ecosystem. As its Community Manager, you will serve as the ultimate cultivator of the budding, vibrant, and local blockchain community inside our coworking space and online. By managing all aspects of Omnium coworking space operations, membership, and community engagement, you will be responsible for driving successful outcome for Omnium and the technologists of tomorrow it exists to raise up.

Key Objectives

  1. Fully manage all day-to-day operations of the Omnium coworking space

  2. Manage the logistics and operations of the member application and onboarding processes

  3. Drive community engagement inside the Omnium coworking space and through grassroots partnerships with the blockchain community

  4. Manage and support relationships with Community Partners and Corporate Sponsors, as well as all contributors to the Omnium community

  5. Build key relationships inside and outside of Omnium to drive membership and hit revenue goals

Core Responsibilities


  • Set up the full system for facilities operations, including task management and internal communications systems

  • Manage move-ins and move-outs

  • Work with the building and vendors to make space improvements and manage any customizations for office-holding tenants

  • Know building safety plans and create clear processes around their implementation

  • Collaborate with Omnium team members to ensure the space is appropriately maintained, stocked with necessities, and fully functional

  • Develop and manage the official Omnium internship program and manage Omnium’s interns


  • Proactively build relationships with Omnium members in the space, determining their greatest areas of need, setting expectations, and developing a friendly rapport

  • Participate in member application screening and guide the application process for prospective members and the Omnium stakeholders responsible for admitting them

  • Own the new member onboarding process from start to finish

  • Manage the membership tracking system and dashboards

  • Manage all internal membership-related communications  

  • Develop tour scripts and conduct tours of prospective and new members of the space

  • Train Omnium members on membership agreements, tech setup, and community rules

  • Manage billing procedures around membership

  • Mediate disputes between members and/or escalate them to the appropriate parties

Community Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point person on all Omnium events, especially event set-up and logistics, communications, and promotion

  • Manage all community communications, including the Omnium newsletter, blog content, community Slack channel, and social media updates

  • Design and implement standards, community guidelines, best practices, and policies around engagement from all members of the Omnium community

  • Develop relationships with the blockchain community, especially through networking, that bring more new members into the coworking space

  • Compensation & Benefits: We offer competitive compensation and health insurance to reflect market demands. The starting salary for this role is $50,000.
