Your Part in It:
Working out of our Chicago office, you will be part of the LTL Admin department that supports our sales teams in their efforts to secure and grow LTL business.
You will work side by side with the rest of the LTL Admin team who will help you to develop the knowledge and skills instrumental to your success in this role.
CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE-- LTL ADMIN
What the Job Entails:

• Manage and resolve daily requests from our sales teams.
• Be the conduit between our internal sales, customer service teams and the LTL carriers.
• Conduct daily review of LTL shipments that have been dispatched to proactively identify potential shipment issues and swiftly implement appropriate solutions.
• Through our reporting tools, identify discrepancies between quoted and billed amounts, reasons for discrepancies and take the necessary steps to resolve.
• Review daily and weekly internal reports to assure that loads have complete and accurate documents and can be processed for payment to carriers.
• Request volume spot quotes from our LTL carriers and communicate information back to the appropriate sales rep or CSR.
• Provide proper NMFC classifications and guidance on bill of lading requirements to sales teams.
• Provide assistance and guidance to sales teams on use of the Rating Tool and tendering LTL shipments through TTSLS.
• Work with LTLAdminTeam Lead and VP to gather any necessary documents and information that will facilitate timely payment of freight bills to our LTL carriers.

What We Are Looking For:

• 1-3+ years of transportation or logistics experience, ideally with an LTL background (either with a 3 rd Partly Logistics Provider or an LTL carrier directly)
• Basic understanding of tariff, discount percentages, FAKs, and accessorial charges
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Basic understanding of NMFC numbers as well as the ability to calculate density of shipments
• Ability to work in a team environment while also delivering independent results
• Solid understanding of Microsoft Office programs
• Great attitude and desire to work hard while having fun!

This is a full-time permanent position from Monday to Friday.
