Cycle Counter
Purpose:
The Cycle Counter main job is to complete all counts as directed either by the system or supervisor. The Cycle Counter will have productivity and accuracy targets to meet. Other assignments will include assisting with tasks in other areas/departments unrelated to inventory Control as directed by a supervisor.
About the Team:
The Inventory Control team plays a critical role in keeping the integrity of the inventory value by performing scheduled daily counts and maintaining a best in class inventory management process and accuracy. This is a challenging but rewarding environment where each member contributes to the company success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Access the WMS Oracle database for the locations to be counted
- Verifies product locations and performs physical count of product
- Counts are recorded using an Radio Frequency (RF) scanner as well as documented on paper.
- Runs inventory variance report from Oracle to validate the counts are completed
- Reviews physical inventory variance report for discrepancies, recount items that contain a discrepancy, submit report to Inventory Control Reconciliation Analyst for review
- Investigates cause of count variance and recommend corrective steps to avoid future discrepancies
- Performs other miscellaneous duties as assigned
Education & Experience:
- High school Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
- 3-5 Years in inventory control management
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- Must be able to operate a forklift, light truck and other related motorized equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include off-shift hours and weekend assignments.

- Ability to work in a safe manner using PPE and adhere to defined safety regulations at all times.
- Lifting/carrying up to 50lbs
- Coworker may occasionally sit while completing paperwork or while working on a computer
- May stand stationary for long periods while performing counts
- Spends most of the shift walking and moving about the entire facility to complete the assigned counts
- May bend or stoop at the waist/torso
- May bend or twist their neck/head while moving about the facility, particularly while operating equipment
- May kneel while performing inventory related tasks
- May crawl to access areas
- May climb stairs or ladders in order to access inventory locations
- Uses balance while performing any climbing
- May reach above, below or at shoulder level
- Coworker may push/pull wheeled carts containing tools or other materials
- Driving forklifts and other equipment
- Working around equipment and mechanical moving parts
- Operation of foot controls or repetitive foot movement
- Exposure to excessive noise
- Exposure to working at heights
