Job Title: Data Extraction and Onboarding Specialist

Reports To: Payroll Onboarding Manager

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

StratEx Partners handles HR and Payroll services for small to mid-sized companies. The Data Extraction and Onboarding Specialist ensures demographic, earnings, taxes, and deduction information is accurately downloaded and converted to a compatible format to be input into the StratEx payroll system.   

 

Job Responsibilities/Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Extracting payroll and demographic data from legacy payroll provider

  • Manipulate legacy provider data into formats compatible with StratEx payroll system

  • Reports to Payroll Onboarding Manager regularly on status of projects

  • Imports legacy information into StratEx system

  • Ties out payroll and tax information from legacy system to StratEx system

  • Research and update data inconsistencies between two systems

  • Assists in tax filing during year and quarter end

  • Regular and predictable attendance

 

Job Competencies include, but are not limited to:

  • Detail oriented

  • Process driven

  • Critical thinking

  • Effective communication and ability to listen

  • Identify process deviation

  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2  years of experience in a data intensive role

  • Bachelor’s Degree required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Ability to work flexible work hours during busiest time of year

 

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Must be able to sit at a desk for extended periods of time while working

  • Must be able to proficiently operate a computer and desk phone as means of communication with colleagues and clients
