Summary
Equilibria is seeking an Demand Planning Associate to help scale and optimize Equilibria’s supply chain operations while maintaining inventory management efficiency. The Demand Planning Associate will report directly to the Head of Operations and have direct influence over unit-level forecasting, procurement and inventory management. This is a highly analytical role that will work directly with Equilibria’s vendor network to achieve the ideal balance of efficiency in working capital with zero service disruptions as a part of our subscription business model.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with all supply chain vendors (packaging, farm, co-manufacturers, 3PL) to meticulously manage inventory in all phases including forecasting, procurement and identifying new ways to optimize cost and service levels.
- Maintain sophisticated bottoms up forecasting model to support company revenue goals accounting for recurring vs. one-time purchases.
- Measure and hold supply chain vendors accountable to contracted SLAs and service commitments
- Manage lean inventory positions while ensuring no out-of-stock or service level disruptions for EQ members
- Work closely with finance team to forecast working capital needs and ensure seamless end-to-end procurement and inventory reconciliation processes are met
- Provide data-driven insights into merchandising trends and opportunities to drive sell-through and promotional opportunities
- Work closely with marketing and new product development functions to forecast demand of new and special edition products.
- Ad hoc analytical projects as needed, including pricing exercises, competitive analysis, promotional performance, etc.
Qualifications
- 3+ years in inventory management, analytics and/or merchandising
- Bachelors degree at minimum in related field
- Experience in eCommerce, retail and/or a subscription model preferred
- Demonstrated analytical skills and experience synthesizing large amounts of data
- Ability to work cross functionally and communicate actionable insights
- Experience working with and managing multiple vendors
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and be accountable to deadlines
- Cannabis experience is not required, but a plus!
