GoHealth is in search of a Director of Agent Services and Carrier Operations. In partnership with all consultants, strategic associates, and cross-functional partners, you will participate as an Agent Services SME in all special projects related to Operational Excellence. You will proactively identify opportunities for streamlining processes, transparent reporting, updates to source systems, improved use of resources, etc. This role will report into the VP within the department and have a team to support efforts.

 Responsibilities

  •  Lead and develop a team of individual contributors
  • Oversee first time and renewal credentialing for our programs including, but not limited to: Licenses, Affiliations, Appointments, Certifications, Continuing Education, Individual Portal Credential Distribution, Background Issue Assistance
  • Facilitate and empower mass appointment processes with carriers, including working with Carrier partners to enforce SLAs on appointment delivery
  • Ensure that Principle’s licenses, affiliations, appointments and certifications are kept up to date
  • Maintain professional memberships and participate on committees to keep up with latest trends, mainstreaming of agent licensing and appointment requirements on the National level
  • Strive for creating contacts at Departments of Insurance and government agencies to create better processes and time goals for heavy licensing periods
  • Ensure the successful on-boarding process of all new carrier relationships that provide GoHealth with an appointment and work to identified issues around appointments that require escalation
  • In partnership with the Training organization, ensure all Credentialing activities required by Sales Leadership or Agents are included in the training curriculum, including any necessary train the trainer activities

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in the insurance industry (life and health preferred)
  • Preferred experience of leading a team or teams
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and drive process improvement initiatives
  • Ability to foster cross-departmental relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills to motivate the team, encourage teamwork and to facilitate decision making across the organization
  • Strong reporting and analytics interpretation and management
  • Strong written and verbal communications with an understanding of audience needs
  • Ability to travel 10 – 20%
