Job Description:
The Director of Identity and Access Management (IAM) position is part of a world-class and rapidly growing Cybersecurity program at Discover. In this role you will help protect our brand, our company, and our employees by defining and promoting a comprehensive IAM strategy that adapts to address continually evolving threats. This strategy will cover the areas of Access Governance, User Lifecycle Management, Identity and Directory Services, and Secrets Management. The ideal candidate should be a dynamic leader with extensive subject matter expertise in IAM product and solution development, including a strong working knowledge of cloud-based identity and identity-centric Zero Trust architectures.
Responsibilities:
Oversee management of Discover’s Identity and Access Management (IAM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Directory Services and enhanced authentication platform.
Partner with Cybersecurity and Enterprise Architects to define the IAM strategy as part of the Zero-Trust ecosystem
Provide thought leadership to align the IAM product strategy in support of business goals and objectives
Lead the IAM product area to translate strategic company goals into an actionable product execution roadmap
Builds, test, and rollout IAM solutions in collaboration with internal and external resources.
Works closely with auditors and regulators to understand and comply with access management standards and regulatory requirements
Drive initiatives to transform IAM provisioning and lifecycle management, leveraging self-service and automation capabilities to enable a frictionless user experience
Create a comprehensive cloud IAM strategy and capability roadmap
Evolve the strategy and operating model for privileged access management (PAM) governance and technology solutions
Ensures the department provides exceptional service and that SLA’s are met or exceeded. Establishes performance metrics and leverage metrics to drive control and process improvements.
Manage operating budgets and key vendor relationships
Act as change agent, leading significant transformational initiatives within the organization
Required:
Expertise in core IAM principles, processes, and technology solutions
Demonstrated success in establishing strategic objectives and driving tactical execution of initiatives aligned with company goals and objectives
Subject matter expertise across all facets of IAM, including MFA, Secrets Management, Privileged Access Management (PAM), SSO, and identity platforms.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to collaborate and influence through all levels of the organization
Strong relationship management skills aimed at fostering a non-adversarial and collaborative culture
