The Role

Paro is an AI enabled technology company. The exponential revenue growth that Paro has experienced in the last few quarters has been enabled by AI. Paro is hiring a leader to drive our Information Security and Information Technology department forward while working on a dedicated technology team. The Director of IT and Information Security is responsible for all of Paro’s infrastructure, security and data privacy as it pertains to the firm. You will be building out new IT security processes from scratch and reimaging the IT and Security world post-covid.
The ideal candidate will have global experience in setting up offices within start-ups or similar functioning firms. This person will be an expert in collaborating across functional teams, and has experience managing Information Security and Information Technology. 

Responsibilities include

• Monitor and manage network, communications and security infrastructure where Paro's offices are and for remote workers
• Develop company-wide best practices and policies for IT security, data security, and privacy while getting buy-in from stakeholders 
• Fix detected vulnerabilities to maintain a high-security standard
• Responsible for asset management and keeping track of all the assets from a financial and physical perspective. (provisioning productivity units, laptops, mobile phones, as required)
• Retrieve equipment during the off-boarding process & repurpose equipment as needed 
• Manage and work with service providers & vendors as it relates to information tech & security 
• Provides technical support for employees on a variety of software problems including operating system support, application support, system access problems database and email configuration support
• Authentication and authorization of users to use various Paro's products
• Managing and accessing authorization in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) standards
• Stay current on IT security trends and news

Requirements

• Certifications or other academic credentials in information technology and security
• At least 10+ years of managing Information Security and Information Technology
• Strong knowledge of AWS, Architecture and Security
• Prior experience setting up offices in start-ups or similar firms from start to finish is required
• Self-starter with international or global IT security experience required 
• Familiarity and a strong understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements as it pertains to information security
• Experience with Network Management, Communication Management, Security Management
• Prior experience writing and implementing IT policies as well as managing compliance
